Heritage Park is a six-acre historic venue in Santa Fe Springs, California, set on the restored grounds of the Hawkins Ranch, which prospered in the 1880s. The city of Santa Fe Springs reconstructed the park's Victorian-era landscape using historic photographs, resulting in a setting that includes beautifully landscaped gardens with lattice arches and cherub statuary, water fountains, a carriage barn built in the Gothic style, and a plant-filled conservatory that serves as a popular backdrop for wedding ceremonies. The park accommodates a variety of events — from wedding ceremonies and receptions to photo sessions, corporate picnics, and private parties. The Plant Conservatory, originally built around 1870, provides an intimate ceremony setting, while the historic Carriage Barn and surrounding park grounds suit larger gatherings. A restored AT&SF steam locomotive and railroad caboose add a distinctive character to the site. The caboose itself is available as a rentable event space for smaller celebrations. Reservations are managed by Heritage Park staff Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and can be reached at (562) 946-6476 or heritagepark@santafesprings.gov.

Thank you for visiting The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa. Riverside's oldest hotel has been restored. The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa, surrounded by breathtaking Spanish Mission-style architecture, welcomes you to a destination where rich history and classic elegance coexist harmoniously with contemporary luxury and comfort in a setting that is both luxurious and comfortable. This iconic, AAA Four-Diamond hotel, which occupies an entire city block in downtown Riverside, California — just steps away from the Riverside Convention Center — has remained true to the grand style and ambiance that were enjoyed by its very first guests in 1876. In this place, magnificent vistas conceal an abundance of intimate hidden treasures hidden within their depths. And it's a haven where the stresses of the outside world are left behind, allowing for vivid memories to be created that will last a lifetime. The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa, a National Historic Landmark and a member of the prestigious Historic Hotels of America, evokes the romance and enchantment of a European castle through a design conceived by some of California's most famous architects, including Frank Lloyd Wright and Frank Lloyd Wright Associates. Although one of the country's most historic hotels has undergone a century of meticulous restorations and improvements, it now ranks among the most modern structures on the country's property list. The majestic visuals, such as grand archways, flying buttresses, lofty domes, and towers, have not changed, but the old-world décor has been replaced by modern sophistication, with rooms, suites, and event venues showcasing the style and comfort that today's travelers expect. In addition to a welcoming staff that goes out of its way to make you feel like family, the hotel that heralded the beginning of the Riverside's new era of grace and refinement still does so today. Whatever your needs, whether you are looking for the ideal setting for a romantic getaway, an inspiring venue for your wedding or business event, or an unforgettable family vacation destination, your journey into a world of beauty and tranquility awaits you at The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa in Riverside, California. Today is the day to become a part of the legend.

  • Featured photo from The Adamson House

    The Adamson House

23200 Pacific Coast Hwy, Malibu, CA 90265, USA
    • 1 Outdoor

The enchanted site upon which Adamson House sits, where Malibu Creek meets the Pacific Ocean, was once home to the Chumash Indians, who thrived there until the late 18th century. Later, the Rindge family owned 17,000 acres and 20 miles of coastline and constructed a beach house, now the historic Adamson House museum, there. The Spanish Colonial Revival style home is now a National Historic Site, California Historical Landmark, and a California State Park. Built in 1929, it occupies one of the most idyllic oceanfront spots in all of Southern California. Situated near the Malibu Pier between popular Surfrider Beach and the Malibu Lagoon, the house boasts an exotic mix of Spanish and Moorish influences with dazzling displays of decorative tiles and one-of-a-kind craftsmanship including hand-carved doors, hand-painted frescoes, molded ceilings, distinctive cast ironwork and lead-framed bottle glass windows. Weddings, receptions and special events are scheduled from March through November and take place on the beautiful oceanfront property: the sycamore lawn, the front courtyard, and the rear lawn by the star fountain. All events are held outdoors, not inside Adamson House. If you would like to give your guests the opportunity to see the interior tile and house collections, State Parks can coordinate a special tour with our docent program. We offer an "open" house tour during your cocktail hour, with an additional cost of 500 dollars. A permit for this tour can be included in the wedding contract by the state wedding coordinator. We recommend that couples looking to rent this venue visit the park, walk the ocean front property, and take a tour of the house itself. Seeing the historic beach house full of Malibu Potteries tile and hearing the history of the last family to own all of Malibu is remarkable. The grounds are open to the public, seven days a week from 8 am to sunset. There is no parking on-site; however you can park in the LACO Surfrider Beach parking lot in front of the property, or in the Malibu Lagoon Beach lot across the bridge.
