We begin our journey in the Mediterranean region, where fig and olive trees are revered as symbols of peace and prosperity. The French Riviera has always been a meeting point for people, cultures, and culinary traditions. With such abundance and diversity, we founded FIG & OLIVE to capture the essence of the French Riviera, which is built on a foundation of genuine ingredients, a keen understanding of flavor, and an ambiance that celebrates the love of life and culture that are synonymous with the region. Fig & Olive's cuisine is guided by a philosophy that starts, first and foremost, with a love and respect for the ingredients that are used in the preparation of the dishes. Every dish, whether it's paper-thin carpaccios, a fruity blood orange infused olive oil, a supple burrata, or an aged balsamic vinegar, is served without compromising on quality or taste. Taking inspiration from the region's love of premium-quality olive oil, we cook with minimal use of heavy sauces and creams, instead focusing on the fresh flavors that are essential to the Mediterranean Diet. The moment you walk into one of our restaurants, you will be greeted by an abundance of natural light, outdoor terraces, the scent of rosemary, and music that has been carefully selected. Every effort is made to ensure that our guests feel pampered and special during their stay. The life of luxury is represented by us, but we present it in a way that is both approachable and effortless. In our bar, lounges, or dining rooms, you can get away from it all with a delicious cocktail, a wine list selected by a sommelier, and a culinary journey unlike any other. Bienvenue.

Our team has over 30 years of combined experience in design and marketing, allowing us to create beautiful tea parties for your special event - weddings, receptions, showers, anniversaries, and Sweet 16s, among other things. If you would like to learn more about our services, please see our website at www.vintageglamteapartydc.com. Pinkies & Toes Up! To be honest, the decision to revamp Vintage Glam's website and launch a blog came as something of a "welcomed" surprise to myself. I am not a good adapter to new situations (I have since learned through sharing that I am not the only one). I have closed Vintage Glam's boutique and stopped hosting on-site parties as of the date of this posting, which marks six months into COVID-19. These are three significant changes. What is a girl supposed to do in this situation? Ugh! In any case, I recall a really good friend of mine once asking, "Why do you think change is a bad thing?" (Thank you very much, Roseann. (I'm missing you!) Over the course of the last couple of months, I kept coming back to that question. I really wanted to feel like I had accomplished something by the time the pandemic ended. After that, I put the pint of ice cream and the bag of chips down and turned off the television, allowing myself to concentrate on the things I could do. I felt a sense of empowerment and accomplishment after completing this task. It was past time to make some changes to the website (old one was 6-years old and needed updating). I've always wanted to start a blog where I could share stories about parties, crafting, collecting, and other experiences with others. Additionally, the blog will provide me with an opportunity to stay in touch with my customers (many of whom have become friends) - and, to learn about your personal journey - what have you been up to lately? Please do not hesitate to share your thoughts.
