The Memorial Art Gallery of the University of Rochester is an art museum presenting 5,000 years of art from around the world, housed in one of Rochester's most celebrated architectural landmarks. 2018 saw the June debut of Arbor at the Port. The Fast Ferry's arrival and departure points may be what most people remember it for, but now so many people are using it as their wedding site! The Arbor at the Port has undergone magnificent new improvements (that we keep adding every year), transforming it into a light, spacious, contemporary location that offers a blank canvas for your design ideas to show. Built in 1929 as the University Club of Rochester, the Inn on Broadway is a boutique hotel and full-service event venue in Rochester, NY. Architect Leon Stern designed the building in Georgian Revival style, and its original character endures throughout the property in wood-paneled walls, carved woodwork, fireplaces, and leaded-glass accents. The venue hosts weddings, private dinners, and corporate gatherings across five distinct event spaces, from the chandelier-lit Ballroom — which seats up to 125 guests — to intimate rooms like The Library and The Parlor suited for smaller private gatherings. All catering is handled in-house through Gio's Prime 26, the on-site steakhouse. Rochester Brainery is a community learning organization based in Rochester, NY, connecting people to hands-on classes and creative experiences across a network of more than 16 partner venues throughout the city. The Great Barn features 40-foot ceilings and decorative bistro and star lighting, with a main reception hall that includes a dance floor, DJ area, full bar, and dining areas across multiple levels — including loft balconies that overlook the floor below. For ceremonies, the venue offers four distinct settings: the outdoor Gazebo on Chapel Hill with views of the surrounding hills and Bristol Mountain, a second-floor Wedding Loft with matrimonial stairs, First Floor Wedding Arches accessible from a grand staircase, and a 32-foot by 64-foot rear deck with decorated arbors and open hillside views. Owner Jody Calder — who founded the well-regarded Ballroom at Carey Lake — established this venue as a refined counterpart offering the same dedication to personalized service in a scenic lakeside setting. The Ballroom accommodates up to 250 guests beneath a dramatic vaulted ceiling and grand chandeliers, with panoramic views of the water. A private bar, dedicated lounge areas, and a private entrance keep the event space distinct from the adjacent Tavern at Windward Lake, which provides a relaxed space for guests to continue the celebration after the reception. Outdoor ceremony areas on multiple decks overlook the lake with a golf course as backdrop, creating natural settings for lakeside ceremonies and portraits. Long Acre Farms and JD Wine Cellars is a family farm destination in Macedon, NY, operating since 1993. The property combines seasonal agricultural attractions — including the Amazing Maize Maze, a 5-acre corn maze with over three decades of history — with JD Wine Cellars, an on-site winery offering wine, beer, hard cider, and wine slushies in a relaxed tasting room and back deck setting. For private events, the venue accommodates groups from 10 to over 600 guests. Terrapin Station, a newly constructed Morton Barn with large open spaces, entry doors on three sides, a covered patio, and a bar, is well suited for celebrations with 75 or more guests. Hurd Orchards is a family-owned fruit and flower farm in Holley, New York, rooted in nearly 200 years of agricultural heritage. Situated in Western New York between the Erie Canal and Lake Ontario, the farm hosts weddings, showers, private luncheons, meetings, and birthday parties across two distinct spaces: a historic 1800s English Threshing Barn nestled between a sweet cherry orchard, and an 18th-century farmhouse suited for curated culinary dinners. Gatherings in the barn are set with fine antique china and silverware, unique linens, and seasonal floral displays, with menus built around what the farm is growing each season. The farm's preserves and products are made by hand using traditional, generations-old recipes. Owner Amy Machamer opens each event with a personal welcome and a lighthearted talk on the day's theme, giving guests a direct connection to the land and the food it produces.

The Wingate Barn is a rustic wedding and event venue set on eight acres of countryside in Livonia, New York, surrounded by hay and corn fields. Housed in a barn that began as a working dairy farm in the late 1800s, the property has been transformed by lifelong Livonia residents Roger and Leighana Wing into a setting for weddings, family reunions, birthday celebrations, and school events. The main barn pairs warm wood floors and a vaulted ceiling with rafter lighting and dimmable chandeliers, seating up to 200 guests with a dance floor or roughly 240 without. Outdoor ceremonies take place at a rustic arbor overlooking the acreage, with a gazebo and an indoor arbor available as alternatives. A bride's suite converted from the original milk house offers four vanity stations, and a groom's room in the former milking parlor opens onto a private patio. Couples receive three days of access along with tables, chairs, heat and air conditioning, four indoor bathrooms, a handicap ramp, and an on-site coordinator. An extensive rental catalog of linens, glassware, and décor is available by the piece, and the pet-friendly grounds include verdant lawns, expansive decks, a pavilion, and a propane fire pit with farmland views.

4-H Camp Bristol Hills is a 120-acre outdoor camp and event facility in the Bristol Hills of Ontario County, New York, in the Finger Lakes region about 30 miles south of Rochester. Operating since 1925 — the second 4-H camp established in New York State — the grounds are available for corporate retreats, family gatherings, and weddings during spring and fall seasons. Cockram Lodge, the camp's main dining hall, anchors large events with seating for up to 225 guests around a signature stone fireplace. Woodard Lodge offers a two-story meeting setting with a kitchenette and fireplace for groups of 20 to 40, while Davis Lodge provides accessible meeting space for gatherings of 20 to 30 guests. A commercial kitchen, outdoor swimming pool, over 20 sleeping cabins, and a ropes course round out the full-facility rental option — a setup well suited to multi-day retreats as well as single-day events.
