Hello, and thank you for visiting our website! We are an Oakland-based incubator kitchen with a mission to help local food producers. We rent our large Ivy and tree-lined venue to support that purpose by hosting a variety of outstanding events. Our entire location is 6000 square feet and contains a cafe, full commercial kitchen, conference room for additional preparation space, and a big outside patio with gentle hanging lights, ideal for larger seated meals and parties. This rental is for the entire downstairs space, as well as our upstairs office, which can be used as a staging/dressing room. Seated - 175 guests, Standing - 400 guests. Weddings, dancing, birthday and graduation parties, offsite company meetings, picture shoots, live music (always welcome until 10pm), and local beer and wine are just a few of the events we have held. Spaces included: Huge outdoor courtyard with warm bistro lighting (seats up to 175) Cafe with custom hardwood bar Huge light filled commercial kitchen. It is ideal for caterers, but it is also lovely enough to be included in the event for attendees. The USS Hornet Sea, Air & Space Museum is a National and State Historic Landmark anchored in Alameda, California, just 20 minutes from San Francisco. Moored on San Francisco Bay with sweeping views of the city skyline and the Bay Bridge, the historic aircraft carrier USS Hornet — a veteran of World War II, the Vietnam War, and NASA's Apollo 11 and Apollo 12 recovery missions — serves as one of Northern California's most distinctive event venues. Complimentary parking for more than 500 vehicles is located directly across from the pier. Seven distinct event spaces aboard the ship accommodate gatherings from 16 to 3,000 guests, ranging from the 90,000-square-foot Flight Deck for large-scale picnics and concerts to the intimate Captain's Conference Room where ship captains and presidents once convened. The USS Potomac is Franklin D. Roosevelt's historic presidential yacht — a 165-foot vessel docked at 540 Water Street in Oakland, California, on the shores of San Francisco Bay. Built in 1934 as a U.S. Coast Guard cutter and converted into FDR's floating White House in 1936, the ship served the 32nd president through the Great Depression and World War II before becoming a National Historic Landmark. Following a fourteen-year restoration, the Potomac opened to the public in 1995 and has since welcomed more than half a million visitors. The vessel offers private charters for groups of up to 120 guests for standing cocktail-style receptions, with reduced capacity for seated dining. Charter options include two- to three-hour cruises on San Francisco Bay — with departure and return from Oakland, or remote docking in San Francisco or Sausalito — as well as stationary dockside charters at the Oakland berth. Every charter includes full access to the ship, a Coast Guard-licensed five-person crew, and two to three docents available to lead historical tours. Bouchaine is the oldest continuously operating winery in Carneros, a region located on the southern tip of Napa Valley. In the late 1880s, a Missouri-born settler named Boon Fly planted grapes and fruit trees on the property. An Italian winemaker named Johnny Garetto bought the land in 1927 and farmed it until 1961, when he sold to Beringer. After 20 years as a storage facility, the dilapidated winery buildings were purchased by Gerret and Tatiana Copeland, along with 30 acres of the surrounding land. The Copelands set to work revitalizing the property with new vineyards, winery improvements, and a renewed sense of purpose. Redwood from early storage tanks was recycled and repurposed into the new facade for the winery and tasting room buildings. John Garetto’s original sign from the 1930’s was found patching a hole in the roof. It now holds a place of honor in Bouchaine’s Conference Room. Throughout the years, the Copelands continued to update the property, expanding the vineyards to 100 acres, and invested their time and passion into building a sustainable, family-owned estate. Under the Copelands’ leadership, Bouchaine has grown from a pair of ramshackle buildings into a thriving vineyard estate. With imagination and passion, Gerret and Tatiana have fashioned wines and a wine country experience for visitors that is a distillation of their remarkable lives, at home in Delaware and in Napa Valley. The shallow clay loam soils of Bouchaine are perfectly suited for growing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. These soils force the vines to dig deep for water, promoting depth and concentration as the roots struggle to penetrate the ribbons of obsidian, quartz, clay and volcanic deposits. Of Bouchaine’s 87 planted acres, 31 are dedicated to Chardonnay, 46 to Pinot Noir, with the remaining 10 devoted to Pinot Meunier, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, Riesling and Syrah. Vineyard blocks are planted with different sun exposures and pruning techniques based on topography, to optimize air circulation and ripening. Bouchaine's high-touch, precision viticulture is managed by an all-female vineyard crew that performs every aspect of the growing process entirely by hand. That includes pruning, positioning shoots, thinning clusters and applying compost, which provides a natural source of rich nutrients for the soil. There is always something fun going on at Bouchaine. Starline Private Events is located in the Starline Social Club, a dynamic and historic location that offers three unique event spaces for private events. With pleasant, professional service and cutting-edge audio/visual technology, we can arrange in-house food, beverage, and entertainment packages. The Starline Social Club is a bar, restaurant, and performance venue in Uptown Oakland, housed in a historic three-story Victorian edifice. Our one-of-a-kind and historically significant structure is a true Oakland gem. We offer a flexible location with three separate rooms for private rentals, as well as in-house food and bar service, audiovisual services, and production and styling options. We provide a wide variety of different and creative events, available to all ages, ranging from traditional to edgy, easygoing to formal, 30 people to 450 people. Some parties are held in the second-floor ballroom, while smaller groups prefer the Explorers Club's dim romantic speakeasy atmosphere. Domaine Carneros is a singular winery best known as a small grower-producer of sparkling wine, Pinot Noir, estate vineyards, and a breathtakingly beautiful château. Founded by the noble family behind Champagne Taittinger, Claude Taittinger's search for a worthy U.S. counterpart began in the late 1970s. In 1987 he selected a 138-acre parcel in the heart of Carneros, Napa Valley, and chose Eileen Crane to oversee the development of the Taittinger style in Carneros. In 2020, after 33 years, Crane passed the torch to a new CEO, Remi Cohen, whose role carries on the Taittinger tradition of visionary female leadership. Ushering in a new era of Domaine Carneros, Cohen brings two decades of experience in all facets of the wine industry to the château. All of their wines proudly hail from the Carneros appellation, and 100% of their fruit comes from our six estate vineyards comprising 400 acres. As anyone who has driven between Napa and Sonoma can tell you, the Domaine Carneros château is a stunning regional landmark. Join them for tableside service on the terrace or in the salon and savor the spirit of the Northern California wine country. The Domaine Carneros château is a California wine country landmark. Inspired by the classic 18th century Château de la Marquetterie in Champagne, France - home of Champagne Taittinger - the Domaine Carneros château was completed in 1989. Situated atop a knoll surrounded by estate, the château brings to Carneros the elegant style of the French wine country. With its grand staircase, formal gardens, expansive outdoor terraces, marble-floored fireside salon and breathtaking views of vine-covered hills, it is an incomparably royal setting for savoring fine sparkling and still wines, and for events. From using owl boxes for natural pest management to taking grape pomace from every harvest and feeding it to local cattle, Domaine Carneros has farmed sustainably since the late 1980s. In 2013, they became certified sustainable. Each year, they go through an assessment and audit for ensuring that our sustainable efforts are always-improving and benefit the environment, their employees, the community, and the grapes and wine.

Etude was founded on the philosophy that winemaking begins in the vineyard long before the harvest and that superior grape growing diminishes the need for intervention by the winemaker, resulting in wine that is grown, not made. This remains their approach today as they continue to build the Etude legacy. Etude was established 1982, when founding winemaker Tony Soter set his sights on the cool-climate Carneros region in the pursuit of producing world-class Pinot Noir. As a winemaker, Tony always had a fascination with Pinot Noir. He was quoted as saying "Pinot Noir is the most appropriate vehicle with which to study wine growing, precisely because of its demanding nature but also because of its delicacy and transparency. Make no mistake it is a humbling pursuit, but when it’s right, Pinot Noir is a glorious and moving thing. It is in the pursuit of that experience that we all work.” In 2000, Grace Benoist Ranch was developed – the culmination of an eighteen-year journey in finding the most suitable terroir for their Estate vineyards. On the ranch are seven Chardonnay clones, nine Heirloom Pinot Noir clones, and eight additional Pinot clones, all divided into 24 individual vineyard blocks, each with its own soil type, rootstock, grape variety and clonal type. These individual vineyard blocks average only 8 acres in size. The spacing is dense to ensure low per vine yields of fully concentrated fruit. Pinot Noir offers intricate flavor profiles, many of which are unique to its growing region. Beyond Carneros, Etude sources fruit from the Central Coast region of California, Oregon, and even New Zealand. This diversity offers their guests the opportunity to see the world though the lens of Pinot Noir. The flavors, aromas, and textures are a direct impact of the teroirs on which the grapes are grown. At Etude, they believe wines are expressive of the place in which they are grown. Tom Russell, an agriculture professional from Phoenix, Arizona, founded De Tierra Vineyards in the Salinas Valley in 1998 as an organic grape-growing company. In the early 1990s, Russell converted the majority of his conventional row crop vegetable farm to organic, and he had considerable success in the California market. Russell was passionate about wine and farming, and he wanted to learn more about the advantages of organic wine grape growing. Russell teamed up with Lucio Gomiero, a friend and winemaker from Vignalta Italy, to create an organic vineyard in the Corral de Tierra Valley. A 40-acre farm with a south-west facing orientation was chosen, about 15 miles from the Salinas Valley. De Tierra Vineyards was founded as a result of this collaboration. De Tierra began as a shared dream among good friends, and has since grown into a thriving artisanal brand with distribution in over 20 states, numerous awards, an active wine club, and a burgeoning team of experienced wine enthusiasts at its helm. Dan McDonnal and Alix Lynn Bosch are the current owners of De Tierra. De Tierra produces award-winning, hand-harvested wines to share from Monterey County's unique terroir. De Tierra focuses on offering the best depiction "of the land," as the name says. Great wines start in the vineyard, and their purpose is to transfer the terroir's distinctive qualities into great wine. Dan and Alix are committed to continuing De Tierra's tradition of creating high-quality boutique wines. De Tierra produces nine different varieties. They use fruit from high-quality vineyards throughout Monterey County and beyond to make all of their wines.
