Universal Preservation Hall is a historic performing arts and event venue occupying a restored 1871 Methodist church in downtown Saratoga Springs, New York. The building's original High Victorian Gothic architecture — including cathedral ceilings and two-story stained glass windows — was carefully preserved through a renovation completed in 2019, while the interior was modernized with a custom sound system, movable platforms, and an elevator for full accessibility. The 7,000-square-foot venue operates across three floors. The centerpiece is the Great Hall, a second-floor theater-in-the-round with 679 seats suited for concerts, lectures, performances, and large-scale private events. The ground floor houses the Community Room, a 2,600-square-foot space with 15-foot ceilings and ornate columns for gatherings of up to 150 guests, alongside The Chapel, an intimate room for events of up to 75. Together, the spaces accommodate everything from weddings and corporate receptions to ticketed performances and community celebrations. Universal Preservation Hall is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and part of the Proctors Collaborative. The centerpiece is a restored 1865 dairy barn, whose surrounding rolling hills, old stone walls, and tree lines frame open-meadow ceremonies. Receptions fill the barn's 3,264-square-foot second floor, where a crystal chandelier hangs 25 feet overhead and massive doors open onto a deck overlooking the pastoral hills. The space seats up to 200 guests and is fully handicapped accessible, with a dedicated DJ loft above the floor. Nestled on 120 acres of preserved farmland in New York's upper Hudson River Valley, Historic Barns of Nipmoose is a restored agricultural compound built around three timber-framed barns — the Scottish Barn, the German Barn, and the Corn Crib. The property, owned by The Persistence Foundation, takes its name from Nipmoose Creek, which runs along the farm's border, and is managed as working conservation land cultivated by a local farm family. The Scottish Barn spans 1,800 square feet and accommodates up to 180 seated or 230 standing guests; the German Barn, at 1,380 square feet, seats up to 106 or holds 150 for a cocktail reception. Both barns are handicap accessible and fitted with event lighting. The German Barn also features a lower-level private dressing suite. The Corn Crib serves as a decorative focal point for memorabilia displays, photo booths, and guest book stations. Outdoor ceremony space is included in every rental, with the Aspen grove near the Corn Crib among the most popular locations on the grounds. The venue operates seasonally from mid-May through mid-October, hosts only one wedding per weekend, and welcomes renters' choice of vendors.
