In 2007, Barb Shadomy purchased Stonehurst after discovering it while in England studying interior and garden design. For 17 months, Barb and her team of architects and contractors, specialists in historic and eco-friendly systems, renovated and restored the home and its gardens. The house meets standards set by the US National Park Service, the GA State Historic Preservation Office, Southface and EarthCraft House. Our historic property features beautiful indoor and outdoor locations for intimate ceremonies and receptions including our music room by the grand piano and fireplace or outside by the pavilion.

Set against a backdrop of panoramic city skyline views, our venue combines timeless charm with a rich history. Originally constructed in 1905 as horse stables, the structure was later converted into the clubhouse for the golf course that once occupied the park. To honor its heritage, we’ve preserved the Stone Mountain granite walls, ivy-covered windows, and traditional wooden plank walls. Whether you're planning a classic, formal plated lunch or a more casual, mix-and-mingle event with interactive food stations, we offer the perfect menu to suit your occasion. The Piedmont Room, which was constructed in 1928, was originally used as the clubhouse for the golf course that was located inside Piedmont Park. It now serves as a venue for some of Atlanta's most famous events. The foyer's original Stone Mountain granite walls and ivy-covered windows have been preserved, but the main room has a contemporary vibe thanks to towering windows, dark bamboo hardwoods, and ceilings that are 15 feet or higher. The venue rental includes ivory table linens, gold Chiavari chairs with ivory cushions, votive candles, up-lighting, and complimentary self-parking for guests. Additional fees may apply. The Piedmont Room is ideal for gatherings of 50 to over 200 guests.

Atlanta Golf & Social is a community-driven golf space in downtown Chamblee. We are family-owned, and our owners have previous experience in the corporate event space. We strive to create events that are easy to book, stress-free to plan, and incredibly fun to attend. Our team works with groups of all sizes to provide flexible and customized event packages that meet your budget and needs. The space consists of a large bar, lounge area, and three golf simulator suites. We can flex the space to groups as small as 6 or as big as 75. We have semi-private and full-private options. For groups that love golf (or at least love being around golf!) we are perfect for corporate outings, birthday parties, happy hours, holiday parties, you name it. Golf on our Trackman golf simulators is included with all rentals.
