The Prado is a National Historic Landmark in Balboa Park. After a comprehensive renovation and modernization, The Prado reopened in 2000. No general admission fee is required to visit the Museum of Photographic Arts (MOPA), which is located in historic Balboa Park, and visitors are encouraged to make a donation in lieu of paying admission.
