River Oaks Garden Club, a member of The Garden Club of America, was founded in 1927 and has made numerous contributions to the Houston community in the areas of conservation, horticulture, and civic beautification. River Oaks Garden Club is a member of The Garden Club of America. The proceeds from the Azalea Trail are used to support the following ongoing projects: Louise Stevenson, a founding member of the River Oaks Garden Club, was the driving force behind the organization's inception. She persuaded her next-door neighbor, Hennie Cottingham, to join her in forming some sort of civic beautification organization to address the critical need for civic beautification in the River Oaks neighborhood. When the Garden Club's first official meeting was held on October 27, 1927, it was attended by 29 members, and it marked the beginning of a thriving and growing organization that was eventually admitted into the Garden Club of America in 1938. The members of the club quickly gained knowledge in the areas of gardening, garden design, horticulture, and flower arranging, among other things. They used their newfound knowledge to encourage others to get involved in improving the planted environment in Houston. There are no commercial, political, or fundraising purposes permitted on the Forum. Teen parties are also prohibited on the Forum. The maximum number of people who can fit into the space is 175. HPD security will be provided, and all functions must be completed and the building cleaned and vacated by midnight on the day of the rental agreement. The building manager must approve any outside catering, and all rental equipment must be picked up after the event unless otherwise agreed upon with the building manager.

Brenner's Steakhouse offers a variety of prix fixe meals as well as buffets, carving stations, and served hors d'oeuvres to suit a variety of budgets. The restaurant has a beautiful garden area with waterfalls and a pavilion that is ideal for weddings, receptions, and other special occasions. BURGUNDY ROOM With wine storage, creative artwork, and views of our operating wine cellar, this is a cozy spot. This area can seat up to 22 people for a seated dinner and up to 30 people for cocktails and served hors d'oeuvres. GARDEN ROOM A distinct dining room with mahogany French doors, gorgeous drapes, original artwork, and spectacular views of our lush surroundings. The Garden Room has its own door, patio, and bathrooms. This space can sit 64 people for a seated meal or 100 people for cocktails and passed hors d'oeuvres. WATERFALL PATIO You may celebrate a private event for two or a roaring get-together for up to 24 guests in the middle of our garden, bordered with foliage and waterfalls. GARDEN LOUNGE & GARDEN GAZEBO The freshly remodeled Garden Lounge features plush seats, a stately gazebo, and magnificent gas fire pits. This garden haven is the ideal spot for sipping handcrafted cocktails and nibbling on delectable chef-curated snacks. For a seated meal, the Lounge can accommodate up to 10 people, while the Gazebo can accommodate up to 20 guests for cocktails and passed hors d'oeuvres.

Czech Center Museum Houston is a cultural institution dedicated to Czech, Slovak, and immigrant history, art, and music, and is recognized as one of Houston's nineteen major cultural institutions. Its mission centers on education, using authentic objects, art, music, and personal stories to share the experiences of those who left their home country in search of liberty and democracy in America. The museum offers docent-led and self-guided tours for visitors and groups, along with educational programming for K-12 schools and university students, and functions as a gathering point for discussion across heritages. Beyond its exhibits, the museum makes its space available for private events, including weddings, receptions, and other celebrations, giving hosts a distinctive cultural backdrop for their gatherings.

The Lotus Room is a small private dining room at the back of the lounge, with wrought-iron French doors leading to it. The room pays respect to Vietnam's emblem flower with seating for up to 18 guests and is highlighted by Jonas Wickman artwork in soothing tropical tones. On request, Culinary Director Nicole Routhier and Executive Chef Hassan Obaye will construct exclusive tasting meals with wine pairings. Le Colonial, nestled in the center of one of America's largest and most varied cities, is a celebration of the seductive spirit and vibrant flavors of 1920s French Colonial Southeast Asia. In a luxury escapist hideaway in The River Oaks District, famous restaurateurs Rick Wahlstedt and Joe King deliver on exceptional attention to detail in a bygone period of refinement and opulence. A luxurious downstairs dining area is bordered by a Parisian-style sidewalk café seating, which is embellished with period photos, overhead fans, and leather banquettes.
