Water Gap Country Club traces back to Wolf Hollow Country Club, whose 18-hole championship golf course was completed in 1922 by Robert White, a founder of the PGA. From 1926 to 1928 the course hosted the Eastern Open, drawing legends of the game including Gene Sarazen and Walter Hagen. Today the resort sits on 160 acres in the Poconos, on the doorstep of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area and the Appalachian Trail, with the championship golf course as its backdrop. Alongside 24 hotel rooms and five dining areas, the property's ballroom overlooks the golf course and accommodates up to 150 guests for weddings and private events, with two fireplaces and chandeliers setting the scene.
