    Bellavita Farms, owned by Joel and Julie Rogers, is a genuine working ranch with 80 acres of Bermuda grass hay, Texas native pecans, and Arabian horse breeding. Joel Rogers, a USMC veteran who served in the mid-80s in Hawaii, Japan, and on the DMZ in South Korea, is originally from Oklahoma. He has worked as a firefighter for the City of Fort Worth for the past 30 years after being honorably retired from the military in 1986. Julie Rogers, a native of California, spent her early years in the business world, including several years with The Walt Disney Company, where she planned and handled a variety of large-scale corporate special events, parties, and offsite meetings. Julie is also a talented photographer and flower designer with over 25 years of experience breeding Arabian show horses. On the day of your event, the venue rental is from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. (14 hours). 45 - 6' rectangular tables and 250 white outdoor chairs are provided.     Cotton Creek Barn is a family-owned wedding and event venue in Tahoka, Texas, set in the middle of a working cotton field in the farming community of New Home. Owners Kent and Mitzi Bruton, a longtime area farmer and teacher, spent about two years building most of the venue themselves before it hosted its first wedding in July 2013. The property incorporates reclaimed materials gathered from the original New Home Cotton Gin, abandoned barns and farmhouses, and fences from around the community, along with vintage signage collected over the years. The venue's Main Barn, built from rusted tin and reclaimed fence wood, holds up to around 300 guests and serves as the setting for wedding ceremonies and receptions, along with birthday parties, anniversary celebrations, and other events. The Olde Grain Barn, the property's first addition, dates to 1951 and seats up to 150 guests for a ceremony; it doubles as a rain backup space and a spot for rehearsal dinners on its adjoining patio. Additional features on the grounds include a bridal suite, a groom's quarters known as the Old Farm House, and Mabel, a more than 35-foot elm tree that shades outdoor ceremonies.

A large 133-inch projector screen and high-speed wireless internet are available in our entertainment room, which is 2,840 square feet in size. Outdoor amenities include a fire pit, horseshoe pits, large covered porches, and plenty of open space for a variety of activities. Weddings and receptions are not included in the pricing for weekdays.

    Gruene Estate sits on 17 acres in the historic town of Gruene, Texas, between San Antonio and Austin, on land the Gruene family first settled in 1846. Ernst and Antoinette Gruene built a home and barn on the property, and their sons went on to found the Thornhill Steam Mills that grew into the town of Gruene itself. Now owned by Dr. Daniel and Anna Lisa Tamez, the estate has been restored to its original 10-acre core and continues its family history of hosting the community. At the heart of the property is the original open-air chapel, an intimate space with a stained-glass window backdrop, bench seating, and a sound system with lapel microphone. Nearby, the Modern Farmhouse Covered Pavilion pairs handmade farm tables and chairs with chandeliers and string lighting, a bar and cocktail area, a concert stage with outlets for a DJ or band, and a fire pit overlooking the grounds. Together the spaces seat up to 225 guests, suiting everything from an intimate chapel ceremony to a large reception. Rental packages include a venue concierge and staff, a day-of coordinator, complimentary decor options, and use of the property's 17 acres, and the estate also offers onsite overnight accommodations in its Main House and Cottage for the wedding party.

    As a result of our desire to be closer to our children and grandkids, we closed the doors of our long-standing San Antonio-based business, Steve Heflin Architect/Builder (www.steveheflinhomes.com), and relocated to the Ft Worth region in 2011. The idea of a commercial venture that would bring together our talents in design, construction, décor, and hospitality sparked our imaginations, and we began daydreaming and planning for it. Our 35 years of marriage, combined with a sprinkling of supernatural guidance, may have prompted the notion of developing a wedding/event venue that was distinct in both style and beauty for our clients. We discovered a 21-acre farm just outside of historic Weatherford, TX, while searching the Fort Worth countryside. Beautiful trees, natural springs, and pasture area are all part of this estate, which has been in the family for 115 years. We began collecting architectural elements such as 300+ year old doors, gables, mirrors, tables, rustic wagons, gates, and benches from Texas and Santa Fe, using the same expertise and attention to detail Steve used in designing beautiful custom homes. These elements will be used in both a Country Chapel and an Event Center, which will be completed in 2018. This is where the journey begins! Construction began when the land was purchased, the move was completed, the designs were drafted, and the road was built. The Brooks at Weatherford, a new community in Weatherford, is taking shape one step at a time. Even as we cherish the opportunity to be near to our children and grandchildren, we are reminded and assured that marriage is worth the effort of remaining together and, more importantly, worth celebrating. Not only do we intend to provide a lovely setting for celebrations, but also a location where people want to hang out and enjoy themselves.
