Victory Garden Café is the event venue and restaurant at Victory Sweet Shop on Steinway Street in Astoria, Queens — a family-owned institution established in 1968 by the Sakalis family and recognized as the oldest Greek bakery in Astoria. The business expanded in 2012 to add the Garden Café, bringing a European-style indoor/outdoor garden venue to the neighborhood. The café hosts weddings, baptisms, Sweet 16 parties, bridal and baby showers, and corporate events, with a full Mediterranean menu prepared entirely on premises. Anna Sakalis, a certified wedding planner on staff, guides the events team through the planning process. Guests arrive through the award-winning pastry shop — voted Best Baklava by Culinary Backstreets — before stepping into the garden setting, which the venue describes as transporting guests to a Greek island.

The Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel is a full-service hotel in Flushing, Queens, offering nine customizable event venues suited for weddings, celebrations, meetings, and private gatherings of all sizes. The largest venue accommodates up to 480 guests, giving planners room to scale from intimate dinners to large receptions. An outdoor terrace provides a dedicated setting for wedding ceremonies and pre-dinner cocktail receptions. The hotel sits in downtown Flushing within walking distance of Arthur Ashe Stadium and Citi Field, and is less than four miles from LaGuardia Airport — a location that makes out-of-town guest logistics straightforward. Valet parking and complimentary Wi-Fi are available throughout the property.

In addition, it features a fantastic bar that is candle lit and state of the art. This bar offers a relaxing and elegant atmosphere and can be either open or concealed from view. The cocktail hall has a capacity of 275 persons and is equipped with a pre-function lobby. There are no Cocktail Hall hours on Fridays from 7pm to 10pm or Saturdays from 9am to 12pm (except on holidays). Outside catering is not permitted due to the presence of an in-house caterer in the facility. The following amenities are available in this space: wireless high-speed Internet access, audiovisual equipment, air conditioning/heat, and restrooms.
