Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook is a 58-acre California State Park perched at 420 feet elevation in Culver City, southwest of downtown Los Angeles. From the summit, panoramic views sweep across the Los Angeles Basin, the Pacific Ocean, the Santa Monica and San Gabriel Mountains, and the Palos Verdes Peninsula — a setting that makes it one of the most distinctive event venues in the region. The park's Visitor Center houses a glass-and-concrete pavilion, a native plant garden, a Skyline Terrace, a small theater, and a conference room — collectively accommodating gatherings from intimate meetings to receptions of up to 200 guests. 5401 Olympic House is a traditionally lovely and airy, small location to celebrate your wedding with your closest friends and family. Your guests will enter the exclusive estate through the exquisite wooden gate, which provides a delicate, romantic appeal and complements the expansive front yard. The ceremony will be placed in a small and cozy outdoor area, which will be enjoyed by your guests. The party will continue outside during the reception, with your guests dancing the night away beneath the stars. This private estate, built in the 1920s, is a photographer's dream, as it has been utilized for a variety of filming productions. The door's carved elements add elegance while remaining simple, and they make a lovely backdrop for wedding photos. The general Spanish design of the house is basic yet sophisticated, with rich, dark wood framing the doorways and covering the floor and ceiling. The venue can hold up to 50 guests.

Chef Luis Carrizo, of Salvat, Argentina, was introduced to South American, Argentinean, and Mediterranean cuisine by his parents, who were born in Spain. Argentina and Brazil were the final destinations for his professional training and culinary education. Following graduation, he worked his way up the ranks to become the Executive Chef for Events at the Hotel Turista in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and the prestigious Hyatt Hotel in Santiago, Chile, among other places. Luis Carrizo Salvat traveled to the United States in the late 1990s to further his professional and personal interests in cooking. He accepted the position of Executive Chef at Minotaure Tapas Restaurant & Wine Bar in Playa Del Rey, California, which is well-known for being a fine-dining Spanish restaurant with a Mediterranean influence. Overview Despite being only two stories tall and dwarfed by its surroundings, this dazzling black-and-gold terra cotta building with zigzag modern ornamentation commands attention despite its small size. Morgan, Walls, and Clements, one of the oldest continuously operating architectural firms on the West Coast and a driving force in the development of various forms of revival and moderne architecture in Los Angeles, designed the building. A notable feature of the structure is that it is one of the city's last remaining black-and-gold Art Deco structures, and that it is a scaled-down version of the firm's downtown Richfield building (built in 1928; demolished in 1968). It was originally constructed as a neighborhood branch bank, and it served in this capacity until 1970. The building was originally used as a restaurant/nightclub, and it was later converted into a Christian center. After years of disrepair, the building was beautifully restored and converted into short- and long-term creative office space for rent. It is also available for private parties and special events.
