Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar occupies two floors in Philadelphia's Old City, recreating a Havana courtyard behind its doors with exotic tropical foliage, vintage decor, and an open-air ambiance. Paddle fans, towering palm trees, and authentic artwork set the scene, while upbeat Latin music and a professional staff carry the atmosphere through an event. The restaurant also displays a gallery of photographs taken by founding chef Guillermo Pernot during his travels to Cuba. The venue hosts private events ranging from intimate parties of 10 to grand celebrations for 250 guests, including corporate events, themed cocktail parties, and wedding ceremonies and wedding-related events. Its event team can arrange entertainment such as professional dancers, salsa lessons, choreographed floor shows, a rum expert, a cigar roller, and Latin musicians or DJs, along with top-of-the-line audio-visual equipment. The Figure 8 Barn sits on the grounds of Bellevue State Park, a 271-acre former DuPont family estate tucked into suburban Wilmington, Delaware. The barn takes its name from its distinctive hourglass shape — an architectural curiosity designed by William du Pont, Jr. as an indoor horse training facility for the family's equestrian interests. Delaware acquired the estate in 1976, and the barn has since become one of the region's most flexible large-event venues. The barn's 32,000 square feet of open space can accommodate more than 3,000 guests and can be divided for more intimate gatherings. A raised dance floor and stage anchor the main floor, while large bay doors provide easy access for oversized equipment, themed installations, and trade show displays. A long hallway running through the structure offers a blank canvas for creative décor. The Figure 8 Barn hosts weddings, festivals, trade shows, conferences, reunions, and celebrations of all types.
