Toccoa Falls College sits on a wooded North Georgia campus whose namesake feature — a 186-foot freefall waterfall — has made it one of the region's most distinctive settings for weddings and private celebrations. The falls take their name from the Cherokee word *Toccoah*, meaning beautiful, and the college has welcomed events on its grounds since its founding in 1907. The property offers two complementary spaces for ceremonies and receptions. The Falls itself provides an open-air backdrop for ceremonies of 10 to 200 guests, with electrical service available near the water for AV and sound equipment. Gate Cottage, located 100 yards from the Falls, is an indoor venue for up to 200 guests featuring a rock fireplace, chandeliers, and tables and chairs included with reservation — serving equally well as a standalone reception venue or as a weather contingency for outdoor ceremonies. Events at Toccoa Falls are catered exclusively by Toccoa Falls Culinary, and the campus maintains a drug-free, smoke-free, and alcohol-free environment. All wedding ceremonies are required to be Christian services officiated by an approved minister.
