The Friesian Empire Events Center was originally founded in 2002 and formerly known as The Friesian Empire and Equine Center. It was described as the largest Equestrian Facility in Franklin County and one of the largest Equestrian facilities in all of Central Ohio. Horse enthusiasts flew in from around the world for horse Shows, horse clinics, horse auctions and Friesian horse inspections. The owner wanted to expand the facility to something that could include more than just horse owners, but people who appreciate the serene setting of a horse farm for their special event. The conversion process has taken years to complete (we are hoping to have everything 100% completed and ready for weddings and events by Summer/Fall of 2025. The property has nearly 50 very scenic and wooded acres with 2 large ponds and thousands of feet of 4 rail white vinyl horse fencing. Our venue consists of approximately 42,000 SF of indoor entertainment areas, not to mention the outdoor entertaining areas! Our grounds and buildings are equipped with numerous security cameras. We are equipped and permitted to hold events that include up to 1,888 people (total interior occupancy). Of course, we have areas for much smaller events.

The Fawcett Center sits on the perimeter of the Ohio State University campus in Columbus, a modernist brick facility named in honor of Novice G. Fawcett, Ohio State's president from 1956 to 1972. Conceived as a multi-purpose facility to support academic, administrative, and community functions, it opened in the early 1970s and has since grown into one of the university's central gathering places for conferences, weddings, and social occasions. Its proximity to Ohio Stadium and the university's athletic facilities also makes it a convenient setting for sports-related events, press conferences, and receptions. The center offers a range of event spaces suited to different kinds of gatherings, from the fixed, tiered Conference Theater that seats up to 496 guests for keynote sessions and lectures, to the Ballroom, the center's largest and most versatile room, which accommodates up to 300 guests for weddings, conferences, and banquets and opens directly onto a private outdoor patio and lawn. The mid-sized Clinton Room, seating up to 100, suits workshops, presentations, and executive meetings, while the Club Room's built-in bar and exposed brick make it a favored spot for cocktail hours and intimate receptions. Whetstone Park of Roses is a public rose garden in Columbus, home to more than 11,000 roses across 350-plus varieties, making it one of the largest public rose gardens in the country. The park's Whetstone Shelterhouse, a 2,926-square-foot indoor space built in 1953, accommodates up to 175 guests and includes a kitchenette, two fireplaces, patio access, and heat and air conditioning, along with tables and chairs provided. For outdoor ceremonies, the Park of Roses offers three designated wedding sites: a fountain backdrop, a wedding trellis, and a brick gazebo, each set among the rose gardens and available as an add-on to a shelterhouse rental. Capacities range from 50 guests at the more intimate fountain and trellis sites up to 300 guests at the brick gazebo, where bleacher seating accommodates larger groups. Wedding sites are available April through October, and the shelterhouse is handicap accessible with a changing room and restrooms on site, making it a full-service setting for both ceremonies and receptions surrounded by the rose garden's blooms.
