    The Filipino Community Center in Waipahu, Hawaii occupies a three-story, 50,000-square-foot building on two acres near the historic Oahu Sugar Mill. Recognized as the largest Filipino community center in the United States and outside of the Philippines, the center was inaugurated in 2002 and was designed with Spanish-inspired architecture that reflects Filipino heritage. The center's two indoor ballrooms — the Casamina Ballroom and the Flores Ballroom — each span approximately 2,871 square feet and seat up to 190 guests individually, or 380 guests combined. The Consuelo Courtyard provides an open-air alternative for up to 100 guests, suited for weddings, luncheons, and evening receptions. All rental spaces include round tables, banquet chairs, a podium, a drop-down screen, a dance floor, and complimentary Wi-Fi. On-site catering is available through Sinublan, specializing in Hawaiian and Filipino cuisine.

    In 1977, the Honolulu Country Club, a private golf and country club, was founded.
