S.O.B.’s, also known as Sounds of Brazil, is a legendary live music venue in the lower Manhattan neighborhood of SoHo. It was opened by owner and director Larry Gold in June 1982. Gold opened the venue with the purpose of exposing the musical wealth and heritage of the Afro-Latino Diaspora to as many people as possible. True to its mission, it has become renowned as the premiere venue not only for World Music, but all genres, in New York City and the world over. Latin legends like Tito Puente, Marc Anthony, Celia Cruz and Eddie Palmieri were some of the first to hit the stage, but contemporary superstars like Drake, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Jill Scott, Justin Timberlake, Cardi B and more have all graced the SOBs stage. Outside of Latin, Hip-Hop, Haitian, Caribbean, and world music, SOBs has also consistently booked alternative acts like Boy Pablo, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and Icon for Hire. Emerging artists and industry veterans alike love the opportunity to connect with their fans on a personal level in the intimacy of the room. Today the SOBs draws both local and international crowds and continues to specialize in Latin music, R&B, Hip-Hop, Haitian, Brazilian, Caribbean, Alternative, and World music.

Take a journey through mouthwatering, re-imagined, shareable plates, or let our kitchen delight your taste buds with a tightly curated selection of composed mezes and main courses. As part of its culinary philosophy, Pera Soho seeks to go beyond the current day geographical limits of the Eastern Mediterranean in order to embrace the region's rich culinary and cultural diversity as a whole. While presenting original recipes in a modern setting, Pera Soho's food also highlights the use of Eastern Mediterranean ingredients and cooking methods to produce its own unique dishes, in addition to the presentation of authentic recipes. To achieve the flavors that our visitors will appreciate and keep coming back for, Pera Soho thinks that simple recipes using fresh, high-quality ingredients, combined with loving and consistent execution, are required. Pera Mediterranean Brasserie in Midtown Manhattan is the exquisite and ethereal older sister of Pera Soho, whereas Pera Soho is the adventurous, bubbly younger sister of Pera Mediterranean Brasserie. The neighborhoods of New York, where each has its own particular character and set of expectations, mix in with their surroundings. Aside from the dishes, beverages and wines that share the same philosophy, but are unique to each location, what really differentiates the locations is the clientele’s reasons for being there. It is typically business in Midtown, however in Soho, it is always a celebration, no matter how basic or sophisticated, and no matter how small or enormous the gathering may be. At Pera Soho, the hustle and bustle of the city gives way to the warmth, comfort, and conviviality that is the trademark of the Mediterranean lifestyle. Allow yourself to be spoiled by the delicious cuisine and joyful love for the outdoors that are the hallmarks of the Mediterranean experience.

The Renaissance Revival-style building, which stands five stories tall, was designed by William C. Frohne and completed in 1896. It is a rare surviving example of the numerous social halls constructed in the nineteenth century for the immigrant and ethnic communities of New York City. Over the course of more than a century, the Bohemian National Hall (Czech National Hall, also known as the Czech National Hall) has served as an important center for Czech and Slovak culture in New York City. For more than a decade, it has served as a focal point for its community, providing ethnic food, Czech language and history classes, and space for its large community to gather and hold various events. Over the course of more than a century, the Bohemian National Hall has established itself as a significant center for Czech and Slovak culture in New York. For more than a decade, it has served as a focal point for its community, providing ethnic food, Czech language and history classes, and space for its large community to gather and hold various events. Currently, the Bohemian National Hall serves as a poignant reminder of the once-vibrant working-class ethnic enclave that once existed in Yorkville, as well as a monument to an important chapter in the history of immigrants in New York City and the United States. The Czech Republic acquired ownership of the Bohemian National Hall in 2001 when the Bohemian Benevolent & Literary Association (BBLA) transferred ownership to the government of the Czech Republic. In order to emphasize the building's ties to the Czech Republic, it is now housed in the same building as the Consulate General and the Czech Cultural Center. The BBLA takes up the entire third floor of the building.

At SPIN, we come together to socialize and celebrate play. At our core is the drive to connect through ping pong—a game that transcends age, gender and boundaries. We are the original ping pong social club, your offline social network, a place to call home. We welcome diversity and embrace the unconventional. With venues in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Toronto, Philadelphia, Seattle and Austin we encourage you to participate. Do it together and never alone. In 2007, best friends Jonathan Bricklin and Franck Raharinosy had a crazy idea: they would practice ping pong 24 hours a day, seven days a week until they were good enough to make the United States Olympic Team. In order to prepare for the Olympics, they began throwing weekly ping pong parties, just like any other future Olympian would. Their parties drew in a diverse group of people, including artists and actors, musicians and bankers, brokers and broadcasters, and (of course) professional ping pong players and everyone in between, among others. Spinning was born out of the fun and vibrant energy generated by the diverse group of people who attended the first event. We gather at SPIN to socialize and to celebrate the joy of playing. Ping pong is at the heart of our desire to connect with one another, and it is a game that transcends age, gender, ethnicity, and all physical boundaries. We are the original ping pong social club, your offline social network, and a place where you can feel at ease and at ease with yourself. We are open to new ideas and are not afraid of the unconventional. We encourage you to participate in our events in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Toronto, Philadelphia, Seattle, Washington DC, and Boston, which will be held in a variety of locations. Do it as a group, never by yourself. #UnitedbyPingPong
