Once a rope factory producing twine and oakum for the shipyards along the East River, it was also the birthplace of the famous wartime ship, the USS Monitor. The Faurschou Foundation was established in 2011 by Mr. Faurschou after decades as gallery owner focusing on international contemporary art. Faurschou New York and Chef Refslund represent a perfect partnership, as they compliment each other’s stunning collections of inspirations. Terroir represents the sum of natural forces: soil condition, sun, wind, and rain. When we eat food that expresses terroir, we feel connected to a particular area of land and sea, and its unique characteristics, and by extension, to the people that live there, their struggles and sensibilities. Thus, Chef Refslund’s menus feature a naturalistic and hyperseasonal cuisine, with a clearly defined focus on vegetables indigenous to the region, seasonal bounty and honoring the Earth’s cycles.

The Bouley Test Kitchen is a one-of-a-kind Event Space and Dining Room in the Flatiron District of New York City. The Bouley Test Kitchen is open for lunch on weekdays. The multipurpose Test Kitchen serves as an attractive event space, an engaging classroom, and a state-of-the-art culinary laboratory, with a range of outstanding layouts to match the demands of your party. Private events, corporate/media events, photo/video shoots, and, of course, cookery demonstrations are all made possible by the audiophile A/V equipment, which includes projection and complete videoconferencing capabilities. Bouley Test Kitchen can accommodate up to 100 people seated or 150 standing for a reception. It is equipped with an open performance kitchen, a Steinway grand piano, and an audiophile A/V system from McIntosh. The Bouley team may use the Test Kitchen to experiment with new gourmet ideas and refine existing ones. Organic and bio-dynamic components help to advance innovative procedures that are motivated by health and taste. In the Bouley Test Kitchen, visitors can be seated for up to 120 people and cocktail parties can accommodate up to 180 people. A welcoming area for handed canapés or small dishes is provided in the space's expanding form, which combines the refinement of a 'Chef's dream' with a library of more than 8,000 textbooks of culinary inspiration. The Steinway Concert B piano in the main dining room reverberates beneath a Murano glass chandelier from the 18th century. Color LED projection technology, which is state-of-the-art, may be used to customize anniversaries or corporate events. Montclair Wedding Sanctuary occupies a historic Neo-Gothic church in Montclair, New Jersey, designed by architect Bertram Goodhue and dedicated in 1916. Soaring vaulted ceilings, a cathedral-length aisle, intricate stained glass windows, and original oak woodwork give the main Sanctuary one of the more architecturally distinctive ceremony settings in northern New Jersey. The congregation behind it — a ministry of First Congregational Church of Montclair — has championed inclusive values for nearly 150 years, hosting Montclair's first same-gender marriage in October 2013 and explicitly welcoming interfaith, unaffiliated, same-gender, and non-traditional couples. Three spaces serve different moments of the day: the Sanctuary itself, accommodating ceremonies from 25 to 450 or more guests; the Courtyard Garden, an outdoor setting with stonework and a central lawn suited to gatherings of up to 40; and the Guild Room, a high-ceilinged, heavy-beamed reception hall for up to 85 seated or cocktail-style guests. On-site coordinators, ordained officiants, professional musicians, live-streaming, and decor packages are available to support every element of the celebration.

Weddings at Union is the wedding program of Union Congregational Church, a century-old stone church on a wide residential street in Upper Montclair, New Jersey. The sanctuary seats up to 400 guests beneath timbered ceilings lit by iron chandeliers and surrounded by Tiffany stained glass windows — an architectural setting uncommon outside historic houses of worship. For smaller celebrations, the Assembly Room accommodates up to 100 guests and comes equipped with 60-inch round tables and chairs. The manicured grounds surrounding the building, with shaped topiary and open lawn, offer additional space for wedding photographs. A Director of Music is available to play organ and piano and can help arrange additional instruments for the ceremony. The church makes no requirements of faith: interfaith couples, same-gender couples, and those who haven't attended services in years are equally and explicitly welcome.
