The Le Coze's intended to establish Le Bernardin in New York in 1986, after gaining its first Michelin star in 1976 and two more in 1980. Le Coze and Chef Eric Ripert announced the latest chapter in the restaurant's history in September 2011, with a major renovation by Bentel & Bentel.
