The Boathouse, located on the banks of Lake Ellyn in west suburban Glen Ellyn, is the ideal location for your next corporate or social occasion. The lovely lake's shore is ablaze with natural vegetation that complements the present season, and the big deck off the east side of the Boathouse offers breathtaking views of the lake and its inhabitants. This adaptable room can sit up to 120 people comfortably, or up to 150 people without tables. When hiring the Boathouse, you can also hire the adjacent patio and deck (for an extra price). The Lake Ellyn Boathouse is entirely accessible to those with disabilities; contact for more info on specific accommodations. From the beginning of March to the middle of December, the Boathouse is available for rent seven days a week. The Boathouse can be reserved up to a year ahead of time. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a visit, please contact the Rental Supervisor at (630) 858-2462. Please allow for a response time of up to one business day. All tours are by appointment only and are typically available Monday through Friday during regular office hours. During your contract hours, you and/or your caterer have access to the facilities and kitchen amenities (refrigerator, freezer, warming oven, ice machine, microwave, and bar refrigerator). Our table and chair inventory, in-house audio system, garbage bags and removal, and facilities staff to manage your event are all included in your rental. The Theatre at Meiley-Swallow Hall occupies a 2007-renovated historic building at 31 South Ellsworth Street in Naperville, Illinois — a former church that North Central College transformed into an intimate performing arts venue. The theatre's thrust stage configuration seats 229 guests across the main floor and balcony, creating an up-close atmosphere well suited to musical productions, plays, speaker events, panel discussions, and private ceremonies. The space is air-conditioned and fully accessible, and comes equipped with a data projector and video screen, a green room, dressing rooms, and a lobby that can serve as a reception area before or after events. The building is named in honor of Judy G. Meiley Swallow Stevenson, an entrepreneur, North Central College life trustee, and generous benefactor to the college. The grounds surrounding the tower are open all year during regular Park District hours, and you are welcome to come out and listen to the carillon at any of the scheduled performances. Throughout the year, a Carillon Ambassador will assist the Carillon's operations and activities by communicating with visitors and giving presentations to groups visiting the Carillon. Carillon Ambassadors will receive special training for this chance. During the open season, tourists can take a guided trip up the 253 steps to the top of the tower and experience the breathtaking view, which includes the Chicago Skyline on a clear day.
