Located on Pier 41 in the historic shipping yards of Red Hook, Brooklyn, this restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The building, which was built prior to the Civil War in the 1850s, has recently been transformed into a charming event space. The location, which is directly on the water's edge, provides spectacular views of New York Harbor. The Liberty Warehouse is the only location in the entire city of New York where the Statue of Liberty is displayed face forward, as she gazes toward France. It is a truly unique location that must be experienced in person to be fully appreciated. It can accommodate up to 400 people for a sit-down dinner and up to 1200 people for cocktails. Two large event rooms with large windows that face due west provide spectacular sunset views are available for rental. Two smaller rooms that are ideal for indoor ceremonies, small gatherings, and cocktail parties. Special performances are staged in this area. All of the event rooms have working wood-burning fireplaces. Immediately inside, an elegantly contemporary bar and lounge seating area is enclosed by tasteful marble tiling. Meat’s main seating area includes armchair and banquette seating, and large windows to enjoy Brooklyn’s unique scenery. Above, the ceiling’s angular, wood panels invite the observer forward into a final seating area. This private dining room juxtaposes an exposed brick accent wall with living ivy and a modern glass ceiling that draws in historic Brooklyn. Both dining areas eschew conventional design, instead featuring marble and walnut tabletops, hand-crafted stone dishes, and radiant brass lighting; a relaxing twist on traditional fine dining.
