Our cozy Cellar Room, which looks out over our maturing oak barrels, is ideal for a private dinner group. The Art Gallery's bright, open space is ideal for cocktail events or as a lovely welcome station leading into the surrounding rooms. Our top-of-the-line Meyer sound system, Ketra lighting system, full private bar, and a stage to host musical acts and conference speakers are just a few of the modern facilities available in the Haymarket Lounge. Your event staff will create a flexible floor plan that will exactly fit your needs. The Tasting Area is a beautiful private dining room surrounded by oak wine barrels, perfect for social and corporate parties, wine tastings, and multi-course meals. Finally, The Greenway is an urban sanctuary conveniently located near Dewey Square, one of downtown Boston's most gorgeous areas. In 1927, when vaudeville circuit palaces were at the height of their evolution, the Citizens Bank Opera House was one of the best examples of this type of venue that could be found everywhere. Theatrical productions from all across the world can be seen here, many of which have won prestigious awards. Since it was brought back to its former glory, the Opera House has been the source of unforgettable moments for each and every one of our visitors. The entire theater, the stage, or any one of our many beautiful event spaces are available for booking for parties ranging in size from 20 to 2,600 people. When it initially opened its doors in 1928, the Boston Opera House was known as the B.F. Keith Memorial Theater. Thomas White Lamb, who was considered to be one of the most accomplished theater architects of his era, was responsible for the luxurious movie theater's architecture, which was a fusion of the French and Italian styles. Late in 2004, following a number of transitions in ownership, the Boston Opera House underwent an extensive period of restoration and renovation in order to meet the requirements of large Broadway touring plays. The theater has a capacity of 2600 people, and in addition to hosting regular performances by the Boston Ballet and Broadway productions, it is also open for pre-show use and private functions. Exchange your vows and mingle with loved ones against the backdrop of The Mount's vibrant, award-winning formal gardens and the elegant interior of Edith Wharton's historic mansion. The Mount was the setting for many of Edith Wharton's writings. The gracious and breathtaking estate, which encompasses close to 50 acres, is an ideal location for a wedding that guests will never forget. You can hold your wedding ceremony in either the exquisite French Flower Garden, which was modeled after the grounds at Versailles, or the intimate Italian Garden, which was modeled after the architecture of the Renaissance period. After the ceremony, you and your guests can enjoy cocktails on the spacious terrace, which offers sweeping views of The Mount's immaculately landscaped grounds and the mountains in the distance. The estate and gardens, which offer a number of different settings to choose from, are able to host weddings of varying sizes to meet the requirements of each individual couple. We will offer suggestions, but we strongly encourage you to make original decisions in order to personalize your celebration. During the time of your event, the estate will be closed to the general public, allowing your guests the opportunity to explore the house and gardens in complete privacy.
