Every element of the process is led by great components and a careful methodology, in which each component adds to the overall. Come together, eat well, and live without a care in the world. In a chic environment, this high-concept restaurant offers imaginative tasting menus and wine pairings that are sure to wow. If you ask any Atlanta foodie about the city's most talked-about eateries, you're sure to hear a lot about Lazy Betty. The groundswell began a year before the restaurant's February 2019 grand opening in Candler Park, Georgia. A series of pop-ups, hosted by chefs Ron Hsu and Aaron Phillips (Hsu was raised in Atlanta, and both were educated at Le Bernardin in New York City), helped them refine their menu, which rapidly sold out. The momentum continued to build when Hsu, an Atlanta native, appeared on Netflix's The Final Table, where he impressed viewers with his ability to maintain his cool under pressure. Thus, it came as no surprise when Lazy Betty and its tasting menu eventually opened their doors to the public and became an instant hit. The restaurant, which is jokingly named after Hsu's mother, Betty, who was known for being a tireless worker who could be described as anything but lazy, also draws on the talents of Hsu's siblings and business partners, Howard Hsu and Anita Hsu, who assist in the management of the industrial-chic restaurant.

    The Swan House Gardens

130 West Paces Ferry Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30305, USA

Host an unforgettable social gathering or have a memorable wedding ceremony at the historic venue setting. Designed by Philip Trammel Shutze in 1928 for Edward and Emily Inman, Swan House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This Atlanta landmark is versatile enough to host a dinner party or act as a pre-function space for the Grand Overlook ballroom. Consider adding a costumed interpreter that will perform historical character narratives. Edward Inman was heir to a large cotton brokerage fortune amassed after the Civil War. He was an Atlanta businessman with interests in real estate, transportation, and banking. His wife Emily was involved in philanthropy, politics, and society. In 1924, they hired the architectural firm of Hentz, Reid, and Adler to design a house for their property in Buckhead, a residential suburb of Atlanta. Noted architect Philip Trammel Shutze designed Swan House and its gardens, as well as many other important buildings in the city. He adapted Italian and English classical styles to accommodate 20th-century living for Swan House, which many consider his finest residential work. Emily lived in Swan House until her passing at age 84 in 1965. In 1966, the Atlanta Historical Society purchased the home and most of its original furnishings, ranging from 18th-century antiques to 20th-century objects. It opened to the public in 1967 as a house museum and headquarters of the Atlanta Historical Society. Formal gardens surround and showcase the 1928 historic mansion. Reminiscent of great Italian gardens, it is perched on a hill with a cascading fountain, terraced lawns, roses tumbling over stone walls, and clipped hedges. An intimate boxwood garden and formal motor court complete the landscape, making this one of Atlanta’s best-known and photographed sites. The lawns can accommodate 50 to 750 guests. Because Swan House is a historic house museum, parties and receptions are not allowed inside the mansion, but your guests can tour the mansion for a few hours during your event.

The Catholic Shrine of the Immaculate Conception

48 M.L.K. Jr Dr SW, Atlanta, GA 30303, USA
    • Spaces for 550 Guests

The Catholic Shrine of the Immaculate Conception stands as Atlanta's most historic church, originally built in 1848 to serve workers constructing the railroad that gave the city its name. One of the only original structures to survive the burning of Atlanta during the Civil War — spared after a direct appeal to General Sherman — the Shrine is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and continues to welcome couples from across the country and around the world to celebrate their marriages within its walls. The sanctuary is a dramatic setting for wedding ceremonies. A long center aisle anchors the processional, while soaring ceilings adorned with hand-painted artwork, classic marble altars, and stained glass windows that catch the sunlight create an atmosphere few Atlanta venues can match. The venue's magnificent pipe organ, performed by the in-house Music Minister, sets the tone for the liturgy. The standard wedding package includes use of the building, on-site coordinators for the rehearsal and wedding day, the organist, facility maintenance, and clergy honorarium. Secure parking is available in the nearby parking deck on MLK Jr. Drive. The Shrine is situated in the heart of downtown Atlanta, convenient to I-75/I-85 and I-20, with reception venues within minutes.

    The Pace House

3057 Paces Mill Rd SE, Atlanta, GA 30339, USA

Surrounded by fine homes, in the shadow of skyscrapers, is a small oasis….the delightful village of Vinings. At its heart are two historic gems, The Pace House and The Old Pavilion. Wrapped in nineteenth-century charm, they provide the perfect setting for today’s weddings and special corporate or private events. The Historic Pace House was built from the remains of the 17-room antebellum home of Vinings founder Hardy Pace. The house served as General Sherman’s temporary headquarters where he planned the siege of Atlanta. After the Civil War, Hardy’s son, Solomon Pace, returned home to find the family home in ruins. Sometime around 1870, Solomon rebuilt the home – albeit more modestly- from doors, windows and remnants of several small cabins that survived the fire of the main house. Today The Pace House consists of a parlor, a dining room, and a bridal suite which can be used as a private retreat for the bride and her attendants or event host. This modest frame house has a sense of history so tangible that you feel it from the moment you enter. Adjacent to The Pace House, The Old Pavilion, itself a Vinings landmark, was a place where old Atlanta Society entertained and danced the night away during the late 1800s and until the early 1900s. Today guests can use this historic property to make history for themselves. With a warm, rustic ambiance, The Pace House and The Old Pavilion feature a versatile reception area that is perfect for any occasion. Both buildings are connected to a spacious open deck area which can be a beautiful site for a ceremony and may also be transformed into your dance floor or cocktail area for your event. The Pace House and The Old Pavilion are operated by The Vinings Historic Preservation Society, a non-profit organization. All profit from event rentals goes towards the Society’s mission of maintaining and preserving these properties, along with The Yarbrough House, the Society’s headquarters across the street. As of May 2009, the Pace House has been added to the National Register of Historic Places. When planning your wedding you will definitely want to consider The Pace House for your intimate, romantic event. Their beautiful location can be transformed into any style of wedding you wish. It comes with a touch of “old” already built-in as this historic building has been restored to make your wedding day a dream come true. As for photographs and capturing those priceless wedding photos, your photographer will just love this intimate setting. When looking for a venue for your wedding, location is key. Pace House is in the heart of Vinings nestled close to the interstates, hotels and shopping.

Located in Decatur, Georgia, The White Bull draws its culinary inspiration from the surrounding local market. Defined by the ingredients available rather than by a specific cuisine, our daily menu directly reflects what’s being seasonally, regionally, and sustainably grown across the state. Chef Pat Pascarella's farm-forward Italian restaurant, The White Bull, is located in downtown Decatur. The White Bull, a restaurant in Decatur, Georgia, gets its culinary inspiration from the nearby local market, where it is located. Even while our small-plate menu is a departure from the traditional Italian farm-to-table fare, it ultimately represents the foods that are farmed locally, regionally, and responsibly across our lovely state. In order to promote natural eating, cooking, and growing techniques, we are delighted to collaborate with an extraordinary network of farmers and purveyors who are all committed to our purpose. The White Bull offers house-milled grains, farm-fresh veggies, and grass-fed meats at the tables in our bright and dynamic room, thanks to their hard work and commitment. It was Ernest Hemingway who coined the phrase "The White Bull" to describe a blank sheet of paper, since it both scared and provoked an intense sense of excitement in the great American author. This is our own blank page, a fantastic opportunity to express ourselves, our passion, and our craft right here in the heart of Atlanta's art district.
