    Storybook Farm

523 Redmond-Fall City Rd SE, Redmond, WA 98053, USA
    • Spaces for 150 Guests

Hand-hewn beams from an early-1800s cabin still form the core of the Stone Cottage at Storybook Farm, a structure that predates the property's founding by more than a century. Moses Atwater and Amy Wilson were among the original settlers of the land in the early 1800s; Warren and Mary Barrett later established Storybook Farm in 1955, running a preschool and summer camp there from the early 1960s through the 1980s before Bryan and Lisa Lowrance took over the property in January 2020. Set minutes from Chapel Hill and Carrboro, North Carolina, the farm today pairs overnight cabin lodging with a dedicated outdoor event space: a covered picnic shelter and 32-by-20-foot stage inside a 27-by-72-foot pavilion, equipped with a stainless-steel prep station, brick furnace, and firepit. The space has hosted concerts, weddings, festivals, corporate conferences, and workshops, including ProgDay, described by the farm as the world's longest-running progressive rock festival. Four rental cabins on the property - Stone Cottage, Barrett Lodge, Warren's Landing, and Rick's Roost - offer additional lodging, with Warren's Landing occupying the site of the farm's former school cafeteria and classrooms.

Weddings and receptions are held in the Ballroom, a 2,200-square-foot room with a curtained stage and a hardwood floor the club describes as among Spokane's finest for dancing, seating up to 120 guests. Highline SeaTac Botanical Garden sits on eleven acres adjacent to the North SeaTac Community Center, formed when two private gardens — the Elda Behm Paradise Garden and the Seike Family Japanese Garden — were slated for demolition to clear the flight path for SeaTac Airport's third runway. Community members came together to relocate both gardens, along with thousands of plants, to their current home in North SeaTac Park. More than six of the garden's eleven acres are now planted, bringing together a collection of themed spaces that includes the Hicks Rhododendron and Azalea Garden, Lins Peony Garden, Seattle Rose Society Celebration Garden, Seike Japanese Garden, and dedicated collections maintained by the King County Iris Society, Puget Sound Daylily Society, and the Puget Sound and Western Fuchsia Species Societies, along with a Sensory Garden. The nonprofit Highline Botanical Garden Foundation, guided by a volunteer board, continues to expand the grounds according to a long-term master plan. 24830 136th Ave SE, Kent, WA 98042, USA
    • Spaces for 100-275 Guests
    • 1 Country Club

Meridian Valley Country Club opened its doors for the first time on July 1, 1967. Despite the fact that there was just a temporary clubhouse and only nine of the 18 holes were available for play on that Saturday morning, those who teed it up did so again and again. Despite the fact that the fairway grass was well on its way to reaching full maturity, the theme of the day was "Take No Divots" since all shots were needed to be taken from tees. The opening day regulation had no effect on the level of competitiveness on the first day. The second nine holes, as well as the permanent clubhouse, were dedicated in May 1968 with a similar amount of hoopla. Several substantial modifications have been made to the golf course throughout the years, including irrigation, drainage, and a large number of flowering trees and plants. The course is currently open all year round and plays "dry." Meridian Valley Country Club has been a gathering place for members and guests to commemorate life's most important occasions since 1967. Whatever your occasion may be, from weddings to anniversaries and birthdays to business meetings to auctions to family gatherings and reunions, every event organized at MVCC will be handled with outstanding care and attention to detail, enabling you to relax and enjoy yourself. Meridian Valley's staff is delighted to assist you in creating the style and feel you have envisioned for your event at Meridian Valley. Everything from formal plated meals to themed buffets will be presented in a unique manner in a tastefully designed setting that the entire group will love. Please allow us to extend our best wishes to you and your guests for a very amazing and unforgettable event.

    • Spaces for 150 Guests
    • 1 Event Space

Built in 1906 as a three-story cedar log hunting lodge, Mineral Lake Lodge sits on 3-1/2 acres along Mineral Lake, with 215 feet of private waterfront on what locals call one of the best trout fishing lakes in Washington State. The lodge's wrap-around veranda frames one of the most complete views of Mount Rainier in the Nisqually River Valley, and a private dock along the shoreline accommodates boats or an evening spent fishing. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1974, the lodge has passed through more than a century of uses — from a wilderness retreat for Seattle's early-1900s elite to a political and business retreat under the West Fork Logging Company — before opening as a bed-and-breakfast in 2004. Eight individually themed guest rooms can be booked separately or reserved together for a full lodge buyout, making the property a basecamp for weddings, family reunions, and retreats near Mount Rainier National Park. The lakeside grounds host outdoor wedding ceremonies with the mountain as a backdrop, followed by receptions in the lodge's Reception Hall, which opens onto a deck overlooking the lake and a two-acre meadow. Evenings often end at the lakeshore campfire ring, where the lodge supplies the wood and the makings for s'mores.
