For 40 years, Marcia Selden Catering & Events has been known for extraordinary food, creativity and highly polished professional service. Marcia Selden Catering is a member of the Leading Caterers of America, was named the ICA (International Caterers Association) Caterer AND Chef of the Year, listed in The Knot Best of Weddings Hall of Fame, and in December of 2015 they were the first caterer ever to be named to the Connecticut Restaurant Association’s Hall of Fame. An Unrivaled Setting for Private Events Cipriani South Street at the Battery Maritime Building is the new home to New York’s most exciting and important gatherings. The renaissance of this magnificent architectural treasure was led by the internationally acclaimed design house of Thierry Despont, whose other well-known historical restoration projects include the Ritz Hotel in Paris, the Statue of Liberty, the Carlyle Hotel and the Woolworth Building in New York City among others. An abundance of unique details have been beautifully preserved throughout the building including the expansive patterned glass ceiling in the Great Hall, the Guastavino tile arches of the loggia, hundreds of mullioned glass windows, and exposed period ironwork. The second floor events complex includes a private arrival foyer and grand staircase, two separate pre-function rooms, and the 9,000 square foot Great Hall which accommodates up to 800 seated guests. Windowed pre-function spaces filled with natural light offer separate spaces for cocktails, ceremonies and breakout meetings, including a rare outdoor loggia spanning the full length of the building facade. Two private green rooms, each with panoramic views of the East River, complete the scene.

Antelmo's passion expanded over the course of his years of expertise, and he eventually had the chance to take the position of Executive Chef. The design is clean and open, making it easy to shape the space around your event, while on-site solar and battery storage are thoughtfully integrated into how the building operates adding a meaningful sustainability element to the experience. The Brant is part of Solar One, a nonprofit organization dedicated to environmental education, workforce training, and advancing clean energy solutions across New York City. Union Square is the location of the Manhattan Penthouse. Palladian windows, which are found throughout the loft-like space and provide panoramic views of New York City, are installed throughout the building. The venue can accommodate up to 180 guests, making it an excellent choice for corporate functions, weddings, and other social events of all kinds. When Monika Nemeth finished college in Budapest with a major in Hotel and Catering Management, she went to work for Compexpo, where she organized conventions. Her next position was at the Hungarian Pavilion at the 1992 World Exposition in Sevilla, Spain. Monika arrived in the United States in 1994 and began working as the Catering Director at The Downtown Athletic Club in New York City. Her pleasant demeanor, professionalism, and graciousness serve to reinforce the positive attributes of our company. Brian Pancir received classical training at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. He worked as an apprentice in Michelin-starred restaurants throughout Europe before becoming Sous Chef at Jean-Georges for four years in New York City. Mr. Brian has worked as a private chef for a number of celebrities, has advised Trader Joe's and Golden Corral, has served as Culinary Director of Manhattan Star Academy, and has been voted Best Chef by Dan's Paper magazine. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys traveling the world in search of fishing opportunities.
