Mimosa Barn sits on 17.5 acres along Eyrehall Creek on Virginia's Eastern Shore, directly across the water from the historic Eyre Hall plantation near Cape Charles. Built in 1863, the barn has been restored into an event venue offering 2,808 square feet of space, including a first-floor dressing suite with a lounge, kitchenette, bedroom, and full and half baths that opens onto a brick patio steps from the water's edge. Mimosa Barn hosts weddings, holiday parties, reunions, and other celebrations, with an advertised capacity of 300+ guests. Its front concrete patio can be tented for additional covered space, and the side lawn — a professionally maintained Bermuda grass lawn — offers further room for tented events. Nearby, the property's restored historic corn crib serves as a catering prep area with stainless steel prep tables, a warming box, and a three-compartment sink, while the historic milking station has been converted into a fire pit and gathering spot for guests.

Belle Isle State Park is an 892-acre state park set along Virginia's Northern Neck, where the Rappahannock River meets seven miles of shoreline, tidal wetlands, farmland, and upland forest. The park's historic Bel Air area, anchored by a colonial-reproduction mansion built in 1942, hosts outdoor weddings and receptions for up to 250 guests; couples who book the area also gain use of the adjoining Bel Air Guest House for overnight stays, and arrange their own catering, music, and rental furnishings. Beyond the Bel Air grounds, the park offers three picnic shelters -- Humphreys, Rappahannock, and Deep Creek -- for smaller private gatherings, each supplied with grills and tables, with two offering waterfront views and beach access. Guests can also explore nearly 10 miles of trails, a 1,000-foot accessible boardwalk with an observation deck, a fishing pier, and boat launches, or rent canoes, kayaks, and bicycles through the park's visitor center.

There are several picture-perfect outdoor backdrops available, including the pond, the hills, the mountains, the Ford F-100 truck, the historic barn loft, and the Event barn loft with an expansive view of the surrounding countryside. Take advantage of the beautiful views from our newly constructed "rustic and chandelier" 2000 sq ft event barn (which will be completed this year), which will also feature the same views through large picture windows. We have everything you need for a successful event: a large event room with air conditioning and heat, a Bride's Room with her own restroom and loft for a groom's "chill" area with foosball and air hockey, an optional dance floor, dedicated areas for a bar and food preparation, coat closet, and modern Men's and Women's bathrooms. We also have a large parking lot for guests.
