In the minds of many Renaissance writers, it conjured up visions of a long-gone Edenic paradise, complete with pastoral simplicity. Rosemont Vineyards sits on a 450-acre estate near the Virginia and North Carolina border, beside Lake Gaston, on land that has been in the Rose family since 1858. The estate's early American-style winery building, completed in 2007, houses a gravity-flow wine production facility and looks out over 26 acres of vineyard planted to 14 varietals; all of Rosemont's wines are 100% estate-grown, produced, and bottled on site.
