For weddings and other special events of all types, The Allan House, a lovely location in the heart of Downtown Austin, is the perfect choice. The Victorian home, which has been expertly restored, has heart pine wood floors from the original construction, gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows, crystal chandeliers, modern furniture, and circular southern verandas. The mountain laurels, native flora, and heritage oaks that flank the expansive stone courtyard provide an intimate urban retreat. Glistening lights that come on when the sun sets increase the outdoor space's appeal. The use of a specially constructed clear, heated tent is included in the venue rental fee for the months of December, January, and February. The tent, which entirely encloses the outside event space, offers comforts for climate control during the harsh winter months while preserving the look and feel of an outdoor event. The Winter Tent kit includes exquisite white drapes, crystal lighting, and a full heating system. Having a long-standing presence in the community, the Heard-Craig is committed to provide educational and creative opportunities to all. If you would like to organize a tour, a group visit, find out about a community art tour, connect with a local art studio, or learn more about the Art Club of McKinney, please contact us. The Carriage House may be rented for wedding receptions, bridal showers, birthday celebrations, and other special events of many kinds. The two-story facility is equipped with a kitchen, two restrooms, and tables and seats for up to 50 people. China, crystal, flatware, punch glasses and coffee urns are all included in the rental price of the event. Tablecloths (in either white or black) can be rented for an additional fee. At the Heard-Craig Center, you may have your garden wedding. A total of 150 people can be accommodated in the Garden. Guests will be greeted by a big white Gazebo (which will be used for the ceremony) and two white wedding arches, which will allow them to make a spectacular entry. An additional Secret Garden is located behind the Gazebo and is available for surprise engagements as well as Engagement Photo Sessions. In addition to hosting a wedding shower tea, the Heard-Craig Center for the Arts provides an ideal location for booking a private picture shoot in the magnificent parlor, the library, or the front porch.

Built over a 55-year period beginning in 1924, the four buildings that make up Lone Star Gas Lofts are situated on a full city block bounded by Harwood, Wood, St. Paul and Jackson Streets in downtown Dallas. Two of the structures, the Lone Star Gas Co. and Dallas Gas Company buildings, are historic landmarks and fine examples of Lang and Witchell architecture with beautiful Art Deco details and are Dallas’ latest historic landmarks to be revived by Hamilton Properties in partnership with Central Dallas CDC.The Lone star Gas Co. Building is a thirteen story Art Deco structure with rich street entrances bearing ornate light fixtures. The elaborately appointed lobby once served as the bill payment area, back in the age when paying your bill meant taking a trip downtown, and still has soaring columns with ornamental check stands, a high beamed ceiling in brilliant colors and relief sculptures carved into the stone walls. This part of the historic building is now home to The Carlisle Room. Opulent is the best way to describe this newly renovated downtown venue. Twenty foot ceilings, terrazzo floors and marble pillars are just a few of the highlights of this historic 1930's Art Deco design. The addition of a private bridal and groom's suite is what it means to have your cake and eat it too.
