The Moon has served as Tallahassee's premier entertainment venue and community arts center since 1984. Designed from the start for event diversity and flexibility, the venue can shift between genres — concerts, galas, benefit dinners, theatrical performances, and private receptions — sometimes within the same week or even the same night. Over four decades, it has hosted national headliners including Willie Nelson, Jimmy Buffett, BB King, and George Clinton, while also providing a stage for the Tallahassee Symphony, the Southern Shakespeare Company, and hundreds of FSU and FAMU student organization events. The main room spans 26,000 square feet and accommodates up to 1,500 guests for standing events, 740 for seated affairs, and roughly 500 for full dinner service. Adjacent to the main room, the Patio and Lounge adds another 4,000 square feet for cocktail receptions or smaller seated gatherings of up to 175. The venue's rental package includes in-house sound, lighting, and video systems along with all furniture, fixtures, and on-site parking lots, and its fully equipped commercial catering kitchen accommodates multiple licensed caterers. The Moon remains a working hub for Tallahassee's charitable community, hosting hundreds of benefit events each year for organizations including Big Bend Cares, Habitat for Humanity, and the Urban League.

Sundown Farms Plantation is a wedding and event destination set on 13 professionally landscaped acres in Moultrie, Georgia, in the heart of south Georgia's plantation belt. Established in 2009 when the Alderman family opened the estate to the public, the property sits 50 miles north of Tallahassee and combines a working quail hunting plantation with an event venue capable of hosting weddings, reunions, and private gatherings. The grounds center on a 7,000-square-foot lodge constructed in 2008, surrounded by a courtyard, a wedding chapel, and a pond that serves as a backdrop for ceremonies. The dining hall accommodates over 100 guests for seated meals, while the courtyard offers an open-air setting for receptions and rehearsal dinners. The historic Murphy House — built in 1914 and moved to the property and restored in 2008 — provides overnight accommodations for wedding parties. Wedding packages include exclusive use of the lodge, chapel, and grounds for the event day and the Friday prior, with tables and chairs provided. Couples are welcome to bring their own licensed and insured vendors, with a recommended vendor list available on request.
