Tampa Bay Watch is a nonprofit environmental organization founded in 1993, situated on Cunningham Key in Tierra Verde, Florida — a waterfront setting on the edge of Tampa Bay with views stretching toward Fort De Soto, Shell Key, and the Gulf of Mexico. The organization's facility, opened in 2005 as a Marine Education Center, doubles as an event venue where weddings and private celebrations support the organization's ongoing bay restoration work. The venue accommodates up to 150 guests across an indoor community room and a 1,900-square-foot covered veranda deck that wraps around the building and overlooks the bay. The interior features wall-to-wall picture windows, and the surrounding lawn provides space for ceremonies. Flagler College's wedding and event venues occupy the historic Ponce de León Hotel, built by Henry Flagler in 1888 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Kelly Plantation Golf Club is a championship golf and event venue set along the waterfront in Destin, Florida. Originally designed by Fred Couples and Gene Bates, the course winds through miles of bayous, towering trees, and coastal scenery on what was once a historic turpentine plantation — earning a 4½-star rating from Golf Digest. The clubhouse accommodates weddings, rehearsal dinners, bridal luncheons, and corporate events for groups of 50 to 500 guests. I opened The River Oyster Bar fifteen years ago with the idea of creating a local bistro that serves high-quality oysters and seafood in a comfortable setting with friendly knowledgeable service. Till this day we go to great lengths, working with several purveyors, fishermen and farmers to source the finest sustainable, local when possible seafood available, we purchase only whole fresh fish and butcher in-house, this allows us to maintain the highest quality. Our oysters are flown in from all over the United States in many cases directly from the farm where they are raised in pristine waters, tagged with the harvest area and date to ensure the highest quality and safety. We continuously educate our staff so that they can speak to our guests about our cuisine, wine, and spirits in an informative manner. If oysters and seafood is not your thing, don’t fret, we put as much effort into our non-seafood cuisine. Weddings: Your Palm Beach County park system offers many beautiful outdoor locations for your special occasion. General rules for beach or open grass ceremonies: - There will be no extra charge for a wedding ceremony, nor will a permit be issued for a beach or open grass area. Please note this activity does not provide exclusive access to any area and must not compromise the use of a reserved area by any permit holder. - Wedding ceremonies held on the beach or open grass area must be small intimate gatherings consisting of the bridal party, official and a few guests. - No equipment such as chairs, structures, sound equipment, etc. are permitted to be set up on the beach or open grass area for the ceremony. Hand-held umbrellas are allowed. - Small wedding ceremonies may take place on the beach or an open grass area prior to 8:30am or after 5:00pm and within park operational hours, (sunrise to sunset). These ceremonies may have a maximum duration of twenty minutes. - If your ceremony includes a professional photographer, a daily or annual permit​ is required. - Requests for permits to conduct larger wedding ceremonies and/or a reception will be accommodated at rental facilities​ only. If unavailable, an alternate date or location would need to be considered for permitting. The request will follow all general policies and guidelines for the permitted facility/area. - Alcoholic beverage consumption is allowed at reserved pavilions as long as you have a departmental authorized permit. - The sale of alcoholic beverages, food, merchandise and services is not permitted.

Long before our youngest daughter was old enough to marry, she tore a picture of a barn reception out of a magazine and told us, "this is exactly what I envision my wedding will look like!" She had started a blog in her search for the ideal location for a barn wedding, and it had gained a significant number of readers. Following a two-year search in the surrounding area with no success in locating a location that was either an exact match or even close, my husband and I made the decision to construct a barn on the land that we own as a family, with the intention of hosting our daughter's wedding there and then building a boat barn after that. We had no notion what was going to happen to us in the future. We had no idea that our ideas mirrored those of other engaged couples perfectly, but it turned out that was the case. We started our company in 2013 with her ideas and our enthusiasm for designing, entertaining, and hosting events as our driving forces.
