Located in New York City, The Love Shack is a surreal photographic location and event space. Alexander and Brittany Love designed and built two life-size dollhouses inside an abandoned industrial building in Bushwick, Brooklyn. A large majority of the pieces of furniture and lighting you see are either original designs, or they have been restored and modified from their original forms. Some of our pieces, such as our one-of-a-kind lighting designs and The Library Chair, are available for purchase. In addition to photoshoots, small corporate events like cocktail parties, weddings, and other intimate gatherings, the Love Shack can be used as a performance space or as a screening room. Events at STORIED join the long legacy of iconic NYC celebrations and events. You feel transported in the allure of the past and the excitement of the future at the same time. You leave an event at STORIED with the feeling that you’re part of the special fabric of New York City, a kind of magic that is larger than yourself. Part of the West Chelsea Historic District, STORIED was originally home to one of the city’s first taxi garages in the early 1900s. In later chapters, it served as Annie Leibovitz’s home and studio, Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet’s performance space, and most recently, Chelsea Factory, whose sole mission was to support the artists, ensembles, and arts organizations of New York City.
