Situated on Upper King Street, it's walking distance to renowned hotels, fine dining, shopping, historic sites, and cultural experiences. Parcel 32 brings together the best of the old and the new. Housed in an 1837 Charleston single home, it was thoughtfully renovated to breathe new life into the building, resulting in an enchanting setting matching the vibrancy of Upper King Street. Each space was meticulously designed to create a modern twist on a historic backdrop, beginning with the courtyard entrance. Guests are immediately drawn to the ornate, custom-designed tile floor and lush plant wall. Once inside, you are welcomed into the Living Room, a lounge area with comfortable seating, adjoining an extensive wine wall. A few steps away, the main Dining Room is adorned with sleek, gold accents and emerald green tufted furniture. An expanded mirror wall reflects the beauty of the space, and the wall-to-wall window opens up to the perfect view of King Street. On the other side of the first floor, the spacious main bar area provides the perfect setting for pre-dinner drinks, welcome parties, and after parties. Upstairs, you will find The Parlour, a stunning cocktail lounges that opens onto a piazza overlooking King Street. From the vaulted ceiling and floral wall to the modernized Victorian-era furniture, The Parlour provides a warm, soft atmosphere that draws you in. We encourage you to have a unique event experience in the Oyster Shed at Leon's: an informal, more laid-back gathering; kick back, laugh loudly, and enjoy your celebration. Our facility, which is housed in a historic Charleston home, incorporates much of the reclaimed, comfy charm that makes LEON'S so appealing. Imagine reclaimed wood, high ceilings, exposed beams, old masonry, and the same lighting as our LEON'S dining room, along with a custom-built community table that seats 24 people. This compact area can be expanded to accommodate an extra 36 people by extending onto a private brick patio that is attractively lighted and manicured. If you're searching for a lunchtime event, we also welcome parties of up to 40 people at Melfi's, our sister property, for a sunny and elegant Italian lunch. Leon's Fine Poultry & Oyster Shop is a welcoming Southern eatery that serves fried chicken, oysters, a variety of salads, cheap beer, soft serve, Rose on tap, a large selection of grower Champagne, and excellent cocktails. The restaurant is located in an ancient body shop that had belonged to Leon Ravenel, a long-time Charleston industrialist. Much of that industrial heritage is preserved in the room, which includes working garage doors, concrete flooring, and some souvenirs from Leon himself. We wanted a cozy, lived-in, familiar oyster bar when we opened the restaurant, so we drew inspiration from some of the places we'd visited around the South. After a lunch at a popular New Orleans soul food joint, we decided to add fried chicken to the menu, which has since become a LEON'S standard. We tried to put in a lot of veggies and salads to lighten it up. We've had the good fortune of being welcomed in Charleston and beyond. The expansive, open floor plan is highlighted by towering, large windows, vaulted ceilings with exposed rafters, and two big fireplaces, among other features.
