Cassia
This critically-acclaimed brasserie celebrates Chef/Co-Owner Bryant Ng’s Singaporean-Chinese background and his wife Kim Luu-Ng's Vietnamese heritage. A member of the beloved Rustic Canyon Family of Restaurants, Cassia showcases a truly unique balance of soulful, ancestral cuisine with a California sensibility by utilizing the best quality ingredients from local farmers. Located on the ground floor of Santa Monica’s historic Telephone Building, a 1937 Art Deco landmark, this multifaceted environment was designed so that even the semi-private areas capture a communal spirit and the timeless enjoyment of food and friends. The airy, 5,000-square-foot space features high ceilings and polished and textured concrete walls, floors, and columns to showcase the beautiful rawness of the building. The light-filled, dining and bar area capture the high energy of a Parisian brasserie with an Italian Calacutta, white marble-topped bar. The entire space can accommodate up to 160 people seated or 250 people for a standing reception. Cassia is also next door to its sister spot – Esters Wine Shop & Bar – allowing for double buy-out options of the entire space. For large parties and private events, the team will work with you to pre-select a family-style menu, which provides an exciting opportunity to bring your group together and explore the fresh, vibrant flavors of Southeast Asia.
