Opened in October of 2018, Recreation is the latest installment from restauranteur and nightlife operator Jon Neidich of Golden Age Hospitality. Located upstairs at Moxy NYC Downtown Hotel in the Financial District, Recreation is a 5000 sq. ft. communal co-working space by day and a bar by night - serving as the ultimate living room for the neighborhood. The cocktail program—designed by Jim Kearns—showcases one of the most advanced tap cocktail systems in the country. The food menu at Recreation features all-day, evening, and late night dishes from Chef Akhtar Nawab of Alta Calidad. Drawing inspiration from the rec room at your neighbor's house, Recreation also features an old school Arcade Machine with games like Ms. Pacman and a half court-sized basketball court– designed to host events or just play ball. The only truly private event space in Recreation, the “Flex Space,” is a fully functioning half-basketball court with floor to ceiling windows, an authentic retro gym floors imported from a Midwestern high school, a state-of-the-art projector, foosball, and optional ping pong table. This Indian restaurant channels the rich tapestry of the sights and sounds of Goa and offers a menu with modern, often playful and interactive takes on Indian cooking. The stunning tri-level space stimulates the senses with vibrant pops of color, wall projections, custom designed lighting and art installations. Our main floor boasts of 2500 sqft space and the mezzanine covers 1000 sqft. We also recently debuted a 1,500-square-foot private dining room. The menu boasts shareable plates, an array of curries, fritters, and specialty bread is on offer.

Industry Kitchen is conveniently located near the East River, close to the famed South Street Seaport. The breathtaking 5,000 square foot venue has indoor and outdoor seating for up to 300 guests and offers unparalleled views of the Brooklyn and Williamsburg Bridges and the Brooklyn Skyline. Industry Kitchen serves out simple, seasonal market fare that New Yorkers are familiar and fond of, including a variety of salads, wood-oven grilled meats, and pizza. Industry Kitchen is located in an angular building with reclaimed plank wood, black tile, and bare concrete, playing off the seaport's historic industrial environment. The indoor and outdoor spaces are divided by floor to ceiling windows, which frame a beautiful view of the coastline from every seat. Stools facing the bustling kitchen, private and communal dining tables, the spacious freestanding bar, or the outdoor terrace and lounge are all options for guests to choose from. Industry Kitchen, a division of Merchants Hospitality, was created by ShoP Architects and features cutting-edge, environmentally friendly interior design by Wid Chapman Architects.

We have 85,000 sq ft of space on the first seven floors of a new, Class A building in Union Square. Color Factory is a collaborative interactive exhibit that debuted in San Francisco in August 2017. What was intended as a month-long run unexpectedly flourished as a celebration of color and creativity that lasted for another eight sold-out months. Hancock St. is an NYC restaurant owned by John McDonald and Chef Ryan Schmidtberger that focuses on fresh ingredients and reimagined takes on basic meals. It has a 75-seat dining room, a 50-seat Garden Veranda, and a private dining room that can accommodate up to 30 people. Co-owner Serge Becker is no stranger to the hospitality industry, having owned famous establishments such as Area MK, Bowery Bar, La Esquina, Miss Lilly's, and Bodega Negra. Ryan Schmidtberger, the head chef of Hancock Street, is a former Lure Fishbar alum. Despite the fact that it was peak COVID, Becker and McDonald had previously collaborated on Lure Fishbar and believed it was time to start a new project together. Hancock is a white tablecloth restaurant that only serves dinner. "The space is dark, sexy, vintage looking," McDonald says, “It feels like it has been here for 20 years already, which was the goal." McDonald envisioned an elegant eatery that was neither fussy nor pretentious. He and Becker wanted to create something that appeared to have been around for a long time, with history and flaws. The menu features typical New York American fare that you'll want to eat every day. After a few months of the lockdown, McDonald was bored, and it prompted him to reconsider what he intended to do with a few of his properties. Pre-pandemic, the restaurateur had intended to conduct a two-week modest renovation of El Toro Blanco, but instead decided to do a complete overhaul from top to bottom. Serge Becker was also in town, so the pair got to work on Hancock St, and the rest is history.

The building includes a first floor gallery, second floor vintage loft, and roof deck. The building can host up to 74 guests. The loft visually immerses you in nostalgia with its vintage furniture and classic speakeasy vibe. The lovingly renovated interior of original wood and reclaimed metal, with 15-ft ceilings and custom art pieces make a stunning, camera-ready setting for film, photo shoots, or special events. A 24-person capacity private roof deck provides day and nighttime options for outside activities. The street-level gallery offers a crisp white-brick gallery space with neutral gray concrete floors and walls stretching 15 ft in height. Our flexible space can host your conference, launch party, holding, film or photo shoot, wedding or reception. It’s a quintessentially Brooklyn place to make your creative, social, and professional events come to life.
