  Thistle Hill is the most spectacular cattle baron era estate that has been preserved, and it is also one of the most prominent residential landmarks in Fort Worth. Thistle Hill is a Georgian Revival home that exemplifies the architectural magnificence of Fort Worth's affluent pioneers. The neighborhood where it is located was formerly known as Quality Hill. In the year 1904, Albert Buckman Wharton, Jr. and his wife Electra Waggoner Wharton, who was the daughter of a wealthy cattleman named W.T. Waggoner, moved into this home that was 11,000 square feet and included 18 rooms. The home was remodeled by Sanguinet and Staats in 1911, after Elizabeth and Winfield Scott bought the estate for $90,000 and commissioned them to do so. The original house had been designed by Sanguinet and Staats. The primary bulk of the house is a gambrel-roofed structure that is two and one-half stories tall and has semi-circular bays on either side. The mansion is accentuated by towering chimneys as well as a massive porch that has limestone columns. The roof is covered in glossy green tiles, and the walls are elaborately framed in cast stone. The outside is red brick. The foyer welcomes guests with a grand staircase and abundant woodwork as two of its prominent features. The enclosed gardens of 1.5 acres, which include a magnificent carriage house, have been preserved. In 1975, the home was included in the National Register of Historic Places. In 1977, it was recognized as a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark, and in 1978, it became the first Historic and Cultural Landmark in Fort Worth.

Ostreum is the latin word for oyster, and it also the name of the city in which it is situated. It is also necessary to consider the speakeasy notion. Previous to that, it served as the warehouse component of the O.B. Macaroni Factory, which was founded in the early 1900s.   Martha, David's mother, was born and raised on FM 441, on the Smaistrla estate. Her parents eventually left her land, which she eventually inherited. She and her husband, Al Kutac, bought a camp house and liked entertaining family and friends. This was dubbed "Kutac's Camp House." David married Donna Hrncir, who was never permitted to attend a Kutac party because her mother thought the Kutac lad was too wild! David and Donna built a house on the property's rear half, and their five children loved building trails and playing in the woods. All five children have agreed to assist in the construction and/or operation of The Rustic Chandelier. The Rustic Chandelier is huge enough for a major wedding but small enough for smaller gatherings like family reunions, dinner parties, birthday parties, class reunions, corporate events and retreats, and more. The Creswell, Creamer, Guimarin, Markaverich, and Northridge families collaborated to refurbish the Comanche County square on the north side. Two of the three structures purchased were in a state of decay and were set to be demolished. The two-story building, which had been abandoned for nearly forty years, was in fantastic condition, and the top level was a time capsule of stunning early twentieth-century design. The Knights of Pythias chapter in Comanche County used to be housed in the two-story structure. Rathbone Hall, the main event area, is named after the Knights' founder, Justus H Rathbone. These structures have held local enterprises throughout history, including the Comanche Chief newspaper, an opera house, a hardware store, women's retail fashion, and a drug store. The corner location will be occupied by Stone Eagle Beer Garden, which is set to open in 2017. Wedding receptions, reunions, birthday parties, anniversaries, corporate dinners, quinceaneras, and other events are all held at this premier event facility.
