Farmers & Distillers would like to welcome you. NEW DC MASK POLICY IN EFFECT MASKS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS EVENT. Unless you are seated for a meal in our dining room, we require all guests and staff to wear masks indoors in accordance with current local government rules and regulations. Please keep in mind that this applies to both guests and employees who have received vaccinations. North Dakota Farmers Union, led by Mark Watne, has opened Farmers & Distillers, the state's newest and most diverse restaurant. The restaurant is a collaboration between our restaurateurs, Mike Vucurevich and Dan Simons, and the more than 47,000 farmers who make up North Dakota Farmers Union, our farmer-owners. We opened Founding Farmers and Farmers Fishers Bakers because we wanted to bring diners closer to the source of their food, whether that be through geography or through knowledge of the food. Here at Farmers & Distillers, we are continuing the tradition while also raising the bar by shortening the food supply chain, increasing demand, and bringing American family-farm products closer to the plate and the glass. Whether it's the grain that goes into our bread, the barley that goes into our beer, or the dairy that goes into our butter, the stronger the farmer, the better the food, and the tastier the drink is going to be. Farmers & Distillers would like to welcome you. Farmers & Distillers is rooted in George Washington's American industriousness and keen eye for opportunity, which are ingrained in the very foundation of this country and in every aspect of the company. As we navigated our way north, we kept asking ourselves, "What would George do?" in terms of flavor, cooking technique, and atmosphere. President Washington served as our true north. The dishes at Farmers & Distillers showcase his well-documented passions for European cooking techniques as well as pioneering American flavors, and we invite you to join us on a diverse culinary journey that we imagine he would have enjoyed. President Washington's approach to leveraging the lands and water at his beloved estate, Mount Vernon, as well as the skills and abilities of those in his immediate vicinity, directed us to pay homage to our Mt Vernon Square neighborhood, which included the immigrant settlers of yesterday and the Chinatown neighborhood of today, as well as the skills and abilities of those in his immediate vicinity. This incredible journey has led us to the creation of our one-of-a-kind offerings, which we are thrilled to share with you.

It's never looked better than it does right now. In recent years, speakeasies have received a great deal of attention, but there is another era of bars in America that sent young people scrambling to find a random door covered in stickers and illuminated by an ominous pink glow, known as The Underground Rave. It was not uncommon in the late twentieth century to arrive at a party by walking down an alley, past a loading dock, and entering the party through the kitchen. There were lots of neon, lots of bright colors, and lots of black lights. Because there was no craft movement at the time, people drank trashy mixed drinks like Cosmos, Long Island Iced Teas, and "the blue one," which were popular at the time. Those were the days, and we at Never Looked Better miss them, but we wanted to bring that feeling into the modern era. Drinks like Dirty Vodka Martinis made with homemade brine and fresh olives that are stuffed with soft blue cheese on a daily basis, a pink Cosmo made with Old Tom gin, fresh berry juice, and freshly squeezed lemon, and of course a silky Espresso Martini made with premium coffee liqueur and custom cold brew are all available. If that's something you're interested in, you can find us at 130 Blagden Alley in the heart of downtown. However, you must first pass through the kitchen to get to the door with the stickers on it and the bright red glow.

Betul specializes in private events, whereas Ismail is more focused on restaurant operations and bringing the essence and soul of the places he works by bringing his Turkish culture and hospitality to the United States and Canada. Ismet Sahin, the Executive Chef, was born and raised in Marmaris, Turkey, and he introduces us to the country's diverse cuisine and gastronomy. Ismet Chef hails from the same region of Turkey as Ismail Uslu, and the energy at Agora is a perfect match for their personalities and styles. He began his career at Agora DC and, as his career progressed, he assumed responsibility for both Agora's DC and Tysons. Ismet's various ventures in Turkey, including his work with chefs at five-star hotels, have added a great deal of flavor to Agora and expanded the variety of food options available. In the heart of the bustling Dupont Circle neighborhood, Agora D.C., a family-owned Mediterranean Mezze Restaurant, offers aromatic elements and textures inspired by the rich culinary traditions of Turkey, blended with flavors from Greece and Lebanon. Executive Chef Ismet Sahin, a native of southern Turkey, focuses on delivering the familiarity of traditional Turkish cuisine with a modern twist inspired by seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and international spices, according to the chef. The restaurant also serves a complimentary, award-winning selection of local and Mediterranean wines and beers, as well as handcrafted cocktails such as the Lion's Milk, which is a special drink made with the beloved Turkish spirit, Raki. Take a seat at our table with your friends, family, or significant other for a dining experience that will transport you to the heart of the Mediterranean.
