Looking for the culture and vibrancy of a major metropolis but without all of the fuss? Brooklyn is an idyllic spot to tie the knot. Known for its hip and trendy atmosphere, Brooklyn actually features a diverse array of neighborhoods with their own unique vibes. Some couples love the historic charm of Brooklyn Heights, while others gravitate toward the trendier Williamsburg or the artsy DUMBO. Whichever neighborhood you choose, you can rest assured that your guests will have easy access to the attractions in Manhattan.

With so many diverse neighborhoods, you can expect a wide variety of wedding venue types. For a trendy hotel experience, consider spots like Ace Hotel Brooklyn in Boerum Hill or The William Vale for a stunning rooftop ceremony with views of the Manhattan skyline.

Foodies will love Sunday in Brooklyn, a neighborhood restaurant near Domino Park. Brooklyn Winery wows with its industrial-style setting and wine pairings made on-site. We also appreciate Rule of Thirds for their Japanese-Izakaya-style cuisine.

For a multifunctional event space that has it all, we love 74Wythe and its contemporary design. 501 Union, once a classic vehicle restoration shop, is now a fully dedicated events venue with locally sourced design features.

Don’t forget Brooklyn also offers plenty of greenspace for those looking to escape the city feel. Brooklyn Botanic Garden feels like a lush oasis, while Wythe Hotel Rooftop Garden puts a city spin on a rooftop garden.

    Hawksmoor

    New York, NY, USA

Hawksmoor was inspired by childhood memories of how good steak could taste. Founders Will Beckett and Huw Gott (friends since they were 11) opened the first Hawksmoor restaurant on London’s Commercial Street in 2006. More restaurants in London, Manchester, Edinburgh, New York, Liverpool and Dublin followed. Our menus revolve around using the best ingredients we can find and cooking them as simply as possible – whether it be beef from grass-fed cattle, sustainable seafood from around the local coast, seasonal fruits and vegetables or local cheeses combined with great wines and interesting cocktails all served by people who love what they do.

    Broad Street Ballroom

41 Broad St, New York, NY 10004, USA

A majestic space in every sense of the word, Broad Street Ballroom, part of Léman Manhattan Preparatory School, is one of New York City’s grandest event venues. 41 Broad was built in 1928 as the Lee, Higginson, & Company Bank Building. Cross & Cross architectural firm — known as Old Society New York’s architects of choice — designed it in an austere, late 1920’s Classical Revival style, an aesthetic that defined New York City both here and in other of their designs, including 20 Exchange Place, The Guggenheim Museum, and Columbia University Church of Notre Dame. Stepping into The Ballroom is like entering another era (with the exception of the amazing audio-visual setup). Located at 41 Broad Street in the heart of New York’s historic Financial District, the Broad Street Ballroom has captivated visitors for decades with its timeless elegance. The markers of New York’s Gilded Age complement this modern event space under Cathedral-height ceilings, with its Broadway-level 200-light rigging, full concert audio system, and modern HD projector with 22-foot by 22-foot screen. Originally designed in 1928 as a bank in the Classical Revival style by renowned architects Cross & Cross, the 5,800-square-foot Ballroom is adorned with 30-foot bronze capped marble mosaic columns. The room’s particular glory is a wraparound mural by artist Griffith Baily Coale, depicting generations of sailing vessels that reflect New York’s history as a port city and celebrate the Ballroom’s location in the heart of history. The Broad Street Ballroom is a place of celebration and community for the Léman Manhattan Preparatory School. Such events include The Ballroom’s partnership with The Artists Den, the critically acclaimed television and digital music series best known for presenting small, secret concerts by extraordinary artists in non-traditional settings for the TV show Live from the Artists Den. The show connects fans with a unique and intimate musical experience for some of the industry’s finest acts. Live from the Artists Den broadcasts nationally on public television, and internationally in the UK, Japan, Germany, Australia, Canada, Israel, and Latin America.
