Family owned and run, Ismail and Betul Uslu are the owners of Agora DC and Agora Tysons. Ismail worked tirelessly for three years, devoting his time and energy to improving every aspect of Agora. In 2008, he made the decision to take a leap of faith and purchase the entire company, Agora DC. As of 2016, Betul had decided to leave her banking career to devote her full attention to her roles at Agora DC and Agora Tysons. Betul specializes in private events, whereas Ismail is more focused on restaurant operations and bringing the essence and soul of the places he works by bringing his Turkish culture and hospitality to the United States and Canada. Ismet Sahin, the Executive Chef, was born and raised in Marmaris, Turkey, and he introduces us to the country's diverse cuisine and gastronomy.
