Stephanie Izard's Girl & the Goat opened in 2010 as one of the first restaurants on Chicago's iconic Restaurant Row in the West Loop, with the purpose of offering strong, cosmopolitan flavors to our local community (and guests!). Our desire to serve guests like family hasn't changed since then (and neither have our Green Beans), but our seasonal flavors, cocktails, wine, and locally-sourced beer have. Since its debut on December 1, 2010, the "Underground Goat" has hosted a range of unique events ranging from business meetings to engagements and everything in between. Up to 24 people can be seated around one huge table and up to 26 guests can be seated around two tables at the UG. The UG isn't your average private dining room. Your party will be brought downstairs, through the restaurant, and into the Goat's "staff only" areas. You'll find a pleasant, candle-lit space that mirrors the relaxed, rustic vibe of the main dining room once you arrive. It also houses our incredible wine collection and has its own sound and lighting system that can be customized to meet the needs of any occasion. You can start your evening with your favorite beverage: beer, wine, champagne, or a unique cocktail. When dinner begins, your server will lead you and your guests through the upcoming gourmet adventure! Your family-style menu contains 13 dishes developed by Chef Stephanie to highlight the finest of our seasonally changing menu, which will always accommodate any dietary restrictions. "For your next corporate or social occasion, transport your guests to another time and place. The Monkey Parlour can accommodate up to 12 people in an intimate environment. The legendary Vietnamese institution Le Colonial in Chicago wonderfully reflects the beauty, passion, and spirit of French Colonial Southeast Asia in the 1920s. Le Colonial, dubbed ""an escapist's paradise,"" is a lovely two-story antique row house located in the center of Chicago's prestigious Gold Coast area. Le Colonial, located on Rush Street, has a first-floor dining room, a seasonal sidewalk cafe on the first floor, and a second-story bar, lounge, and all-season terrace overlooking Rush Street. Chao Tom, grilled shrimp wrapped around sugar cane with angel hair noodle, lettuce, mint, and peanut sauce; Goi Ga Xoai, grilled chicken with mango, mesclun greens, tomatoes, cucumber, and tamarind dressing; and Banh Uot, grilled sesame beef over flat rice noodles, cucumber, and fresh herbs are among the restaurant's signature dishes. MAD Social is a neighborhood kitchen & gathering place in the heart of the West Loop. The elevated yet approachable venue space features a rustic, industrial chic interior, which provides the perfect backdrop for eclectic shareable plates & creative cocktails. MAD Social is available for full buy out, and their event menus and packages are customizable. Adolfo Garcia oversaw the design of MAD Social and has kept it true to its warehouse roots, while bringing a French industrial chic feel to the space. An intimate and refined place, MAD Social has 65 seats in the dining room, 12 at the bar and will offer outdoor seating in the patio space during warmer months. In keeping with the industrial past of the West Loop neighborhood, Garcia used “1900’s warehouse” as a design inspiration. He utilized the natural elements in the space, like the original timber ceilings and hardwood flooring. Leftover wood from the buildout was reclaimed and re-used. Guests will see it incorporated throughout MAD Social's dining room from the table tops to focal point art pieces, including a jigsaw-esque design on the front of the bar and an oversized wooden mosaic piece on the east wall.
