In the context of its Southern California location, e Garden is a hybrid art form that combines traditional elements of Japanese garden design with contemporary elements. They had a shared love of the outdoors, and gardening in particular, drew them together. When it came to self-development, Loraine and Earl recognized the importance of travel, well-being, education, and art as a means of expression. They are reflected in the Garden and in other projects that they have funded, such as the CSULB International House, Miller Children's Hospital, and the ongoing work of The Earl B. and Loraine H. Miller Foundation, which they established in memory of their parents. At this time, we are unable to accommodate docent-led tours due to a lack of available space. When planning to visit the Garden during regular hours, groups of 15 or more people must contact the Garden in advance by phone (562) 985-8420 or email (jgcoordinators@csulb.edu), regardless of whether or not a docent-led tour is requested. A minimum of two weeks notice is required, and group visits may be subject to a fee if they are not pre-arranged. The specifics will be worked out between your group coordinator and the Garden's personnel.

Rancho Los Cerritos is a historic home and gardens nestled in the Bixby Knolls neighborhood of Long Beach, California. Built in the mid-1800s, the two-story adobe structure served as the headquarters of a sprawling cattle and sheep ranch before evolving through generations of California history. Today, the 4.74-acre property holds Local, State, and National Historic Landmark designations, offering a setting shaped by centuries of California heritage. The grounds — designed by landscape architect Ralph D. Cornell in the 1930s — feature four distinct outdoor and semi-indoor event spaces, from the expansive Backyard with its 150-year-old Moreton Bay Fig tree and Italian Cypresses to the intimate Inner Courtyard centered on a reflecting pond. A Petite Garden provides privacy for smaller gatherings, while the Sun Porch is the venue's only fully enclosed indoor space, with glass walls looking out onto the courtyard. Together, the spaces accommodate events from small luncheons of 40 to large wedding receptions of up to 350 guests. Rancho Los Cerritos hosts weddings, receptions, corporate meetings, community festivals, celebrations of life, and private gatherings, making its enchanting gardens and historic adobe backdrop available for a wide range of occasions.

Whoop Axe is an adventure entertainment venue in South Orange County. It is a plug and play venue for all types of events. With a 10,000 square foot space, Whoop Axe, can host over 300 guests. We have sound, lights, stage, 2,000 square foot dance floor, microphone, projector, and natural seating for 125 guests and we can add seating to accommodate up to 300. Then there is the entertainment side of the venue. Whoop Axe has a list of bands, line dance instructors, and DJs. Entertaining the whole venue at once. As well as 20 axe throwing lanes, a mechanical bull, a rage room, and yard games, that can entertain over 90 guests at a time with activities. Catering is easy. We have a group of vendors that allows for many food options to be available by a simple price point of $15 per person. Alcohol is available for purchase as well.
