WEATHER While we've been amazingly fortunate with good weather on the majority of our events, we do have to be realistic and have backup plans for inclement weather. That's why we have an arrangement with ACME rentals for tents and canopies as needed, available at an additional charge. We also have patio heaters to rent in the colder months so no matter what comes, your event goes off beautifully.

River Oaks Garden Club, a member of The Garden Club of America, was founded in 1927 and has made numerous contributions to the Houston community in the areas of conservation, horticulture, and civic beautification. River Oaks Garden Club is a member of The Garden Club of America. The proceeds from the Azalea Trail are used to support the following ongoing projects: Louise Stevenson, a founding member of the River Oaks Garden Club, was the driving force behind the organization's inception. She persuaded her next-door neighbor, Hennie Cottingham, to join her in forming some sort of civic beautification organization to address the critical need for civic beautification in the River Oaks neighborhood. When the Garden Club's first official meeting was held on October 27, 1927, it was attended by 29 members, and it marked the beginning of a thriving and growing organization that was eventually admitted into the Garden Club of America in 1938. The members of the club quickly gained knowledge in the areas of gardening, garden design, horticulture, and flower arranging, among other things. They used their newfound knowledge to encourage others to get involved in improving the planted environment in Houston. There are no commercial, political, or fundraising purposes permitted on the Forum. Teen parties are also prohibited on the Forum. The maximum number of people who can fit into the space is 175. HPD security will be provided, and all functions must be completed and the building cleaned and vacated by midnight on the day of the rental agreement. The building manager must approve any outside catering, and all rental equipment must be picked up after the event unless otherwise agreed upon with the building manager.

BURGUNDY ROOM With wine storage, creative artwork, and views of our operating wine cellar, this is a cozy spot. This area can seat up to 22 people for a seated dinner and up to 30 people for cocktails and served hors d'oeuvres. GARDEN ROOM A distinct dining room with mahogany French doors, gorgeous drapes, original artwork, and spectacular views of our lush surroundings. The Garden Room has its own door, patio, and bathrooms. This space can sit 64 people for a seated meal or 100 people for cocktails and passed hors d'oeuvres. WATERFALL PATIO You may celebrate a private event for two or a roaring get-together for up to 24 guests in the middle of our garden, bordered with foliage and waterfalls.
