Overlooking the Big Bayou Black in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana, the property is shaded by centuries-old live oak trees and carries a history stretching back to a Spanish land grant given to the Martin family in the 1800s — land that later became part of the storied Southdown Plantation. The estate offers three rooms in the main house and a private cottage, each furnished with antiques and period pieces and including a gourmet Southern breakfast served in the formal dining room. Banquet rooms accommodate meetings, showers, receptions, and gatherings of any size, and the grounds are suited to barn weddings, family reunions, and company picnics alongside the plantation's signature tours of its working cane fields and natural surroundings.
