Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Manhattan's skyline, LIC Landing by COFFEED features a spectacular 2000 sq-ft outdoor event space and a high-quality outdoor cafe. It is located in Long Island City's beautiful, brand-new waterfront park at Hunters Point South. The event location and associated park space will be home to a wide variety of public and private events throughout the year. LIC Landing's restaurant features a healthy selection of locally-sourced offerings as well as craft beers and fine wines, and of course, COFFEED's specialty coffees and teas. The cafe has a pick-up window, but will also offer table service under the park's majestic pavilion. As with all COFFEED locations, LIC Landing by COFFEED allocates a portion of sales revenue to a community-based non-profit - in this case, the Hunters Point Parks Conservancy, a community group created to support the use and upkeep of the parks, green spaces and waterfront in Hunters Point, Queens. Merchants Cigar Bar, which opened in 1996, is a modern lounge with a midcentury design that takes visitors back in time. True to the era of the opulent Havana High Life, indoor smoking is permitted, fresh ingredients are used in cocktails, and music is played until the wee hours of the morning. The architecture and furnishings in merchants are appealing and genuine; every component is a fresh take on traditional design. Visitors descend a beautiful mahogany paneled staircase that is accented with brass, illuminated by diffused light, and features floor to ceiling bronze mirrors. Offering about 12,000 square feet of exhibition space in a converted industrial warehouse, Faurschou New York, is located in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn. The Faurschou Foundation was established in 2011 by Mr. Faurschou after decades as gallery owner focusing on international contemporary art. Faurschou New York and Chef Refslund represent a perfect partnership, as they compliment each other’s stunning collections of inspirations. Terroir represents the sum of natural forces: soil condition, sun, wind, and rain. When we eat food that expresses terroir, we feel connected to a particular area of land and sea, and its unique characteristics, and by extension, to the people that live there, their struggles and sensibilities.
