The Bouley Test Kitchen is a one-of-a-kind Event Space and Dining Room in the Flatiron District of New York City. The Bouley Test Kitchen is open for lunch on weekdays. The multipurpose Test Kitchen serves as an attractive event space, an engaging classroom, and a state-of-the-art culinary laboratory, with a range of outstanding layouts to match the demands of your party. Private events, corporate/media events, photo/video shoots, and, of course, cookery demonstrations are all made possible by the audiophile A/V equipment, which includes projection and complete videoconferencing capabilities. Bouley Test Kitchen can accommodate up to 100 people seated or 150 standing for a reception. It is equipped with an open performance kitchen, a Steinway grand piano, and an audiophile A/V system from McIntosh. The Bouley team may use the Test Kitchen to experiment with new gourmet ideas and refine existing ones. Organic and bio-dynamic components help to advance innovative procedures that are motivated by health and taste. In the Bouley Test Kitchen, visitors can be seated for up to 120 people and cocktail parties can accommodate up to 180 people. The Steinway Concert B piano in the main dining room reverberates beneath a Murano glass chandelier from the 18th century. We have decided to re-locate and transform Bouley at Home and Bouley Test Kitchen into a new concept due to the inherent difficulties of in-person dining in the face of the ongoing dangers of Covid-19. As we prepare to relocate from 31 West 21st Street to a new venue in Lower Manhattan's TriBeCa neighborhood (location to be determined), we are taking advantage of this rare opportunity to envision and plan what the new Bouley will look like. When il Buco first opened its doors in 1994 as a rustic antique store on NoHo's cobblestoned Bond Street, the restaurant quickly rose to become one of the city's most beloved destinations. Donna Lennard and her then-partner, Italian-born restaurateur Alberto Avalle, were pioneers on Bond Street when they invited their antique customers to join them for their midday "pranzo" before obtaining a wine and beer license and developing an eclectic Mediterranean menu that was equal parts Italian, Spanish, and invention, and dedicated to sourcing the finest prime ingredients both locally and in Avalle's home country of Italy.
