The Ostreum is a Roman amphitheatre built in the first century AD. Weddings and special events are now being hosted at the venue, which opened its doors in June. Located in Fort Worth, Texas, The Ostreum is the second venue owned and operated by Lynsie Blau. It is the sister (not the twin) of BRIK Venue. Ostreum is the latin word for oyster, and it also the name of the city in which it is situated. Named for the luxury associated with oysters and the notion that beauty is housed under an inconspicuous facade, the name is appropriate for the establishment. It is also necessary to consider the speakeasy notion. Previous to that, it served as the warehouse component of the O.B. Macaroni Factory, which was founded in the early 1900s. As well as the exposed brick walls, the venue still retains its original red wood columns and rafters. This area has been refurbished in a romantic, art deco design, which is carried throughout. Canyonwood Ridge is a 12,000-square-foot Hill Country wedding venue in Dripping Springs, Texas, about 20 minutes from downtown Austin. The property sits atop a ridge wrapped in oak trees, with panoramic Hill Country views and a landscaped Great Lawn used for photography. The venue offers couples two ceremony options: an outdoor trellis with a Hill Country backdrop, and a 3,000-square-foot indoor Chapel with capacity for 300, built to serve as a weather-protected alternative that connects directly to the Reception Hall. The Reception Hall seats up to 300 guests and features retractable barn doors, while the combined Chapel and hall can accommodate 400 seated guests. An 800-square-foot bridal suite with a private bathroom overlooks the outdoor ceremony site, and a separate groomsroom is also available. River Oaks Garden Club, a member of The Garden Club of America, was founded in 1927 and has made numerous contributions to the Houston community in the areas of conservation, horticulture, and civic beautification. River Oaks Garden Club is a member of The Garden Club of America. The proceeds from the Azalea Trail are used to support the following ongoing projects: Louise Stevenson, a founding member of the River Oaks Garden Club, was the driving force behind the organization's inception. She persuaded her next-door neighbor, Hennie Cottingham, to join her in forming some sort of civic beautification organization to address the critical need for civic beautification in the River Oaks neighborhood. When the Garden Club's first official meeting was held on October 27, 1927, it was attended by 29 members, and it marked the beginning of a thriving and growing organization that was eventually admitted into the Garden Club of America in 1938. The members of the club quickly gained knowledge in the areas of gardening, garden design, horticulture, and flower arranging, among other things. They used their newfound knowledge to encourage others to get involved in improving the planted environment in Houston. There are no commercial, political, or fundraising purposes permitted on the Forum. Teen parties are also prohibited on the Forum. The maximum number of people who can fit into the space is 175. HPD security will be provided, and all functions must be completed and the building cleaned and vacated by midnight on the day of the rental agreement. The building manager must approve any outside catering, and all rental equipment must be picked up after the event unless otherwise agreed upon with the building manager.

At Barr Mansion we believe in creating a space where every moment is remarkable. We are a wedding and events venue located in the heart of Austin, just northeast of downtown and fifteen minutes from the capital – seven acres of organic gardens, beautiful landscapes, and thoughtfully designed buildings. Barr Mansion captures the essence of contemporary, organic beauty – offering unparalleled settings, full service coordination and exceptional, farm-to-table cuisine. Our tale starts in 1898 when Tilly and William Braxton Barr bought 223 acres of land in Sprinkle, Texas, which contained a post office, churches, a school, and a train station. They then built our historic home for their family to live in. The community remained populated up until the 1930s until being eventually included into the expanding metropolis of Austin. During the century, the Barr family continued to live in the Mansion, but sadly it gradually fell into disrepair. I'd had the desire to restore a historic structure for my entire life, and when I first came across this site in 1981, I felt with all of my heart that it was the appropriate place to do it. When Austin started to learn about and share my love for this hidden jewel, the years of construction and labor that I had invested while raising my own family in the Mansion, transformed into a passionate life in the events sector. I initially prepared all of the food for the visitors myself, but as time went on, professional event staff was employed, and the area gradually grew into the magnificent three buildings and gourmet kitchen where we now host parties. Even though the Mansion has been a steadfast part of Texas history for more than a century, we didn't stop there. We added an 18th-century Artisan Ballroom to the property in 2000, having it brought piece by piece from New York because I knew Austin would enjoy the building's many large glass windows that give visitors the impression that they are outside while inside. When Christopher Columbus first came to America, some of the barn's timbers were still trees, giving the place even more historical significance. The farmhouse, our most recent addition to the property and a contemporary twist on an open-air pavilion, was completed in 2014. It gives visitors even more possibilities to enjoy the expansive grounds and gardens. I am incredibly proud of our history and where we have come from, and I am eager to share my life's work with you.

Built in 1949 on a 280-acre homestead in Sunset Valley, just 10 minutes from downtown Austin, the Brodie Homestead barn spent nearly 50 years housing cattle, horses, and donkeys before its 2011 purchase by Daniel and Vicki Ross, owners of Austin's Allan House. After an extensive renovation, the family-owned venue opened for events in 2014, and its 38-foot wooden gambrel roof, original cathedral-like ceilings, and large stone walls remain from the historic structure. Six crystal chandeliers, rafter uplighting, and Edison bulb globe lighting illuminate the barn wood and white limestone interior, while custom white draping can divide the more than 4,200 square feet of indoor space into smaller areas. Brodie Homestead hosts weddings, corporate events, holiday celebrations, and non-profit fundraisers, accommodating up to 350 guests standing or 250 seated for a reception, with rentals including exclusive use of the space for 10 hours, two private loft changing suites, a catering prep kitchen, and a stone wall hook system for hanging greenery and florals. Outdoor walkways surround the building, and nearby green space is available for portraits and ceremony photography. Rentals also include a complimentary two-hour bridal portrait or engagement session and a complimentary one-hour ceremony rehearsal, along with an on-site manager and security officer present throughout each event.
