Dessert tarts that are made by 43 & Company are so delicious that they will actually melt in your mouth, and we are enthusiastic about preparing them and sharing them with you. We are strong believers in the concept of "classics done well," in which traditional dishes are given the highest care in terms of both their flavor and their appearance. We prepare all of our pies and tarts from scratch, using the freshest ingredients available. Whenever it's feasible, we try to source our products locally and organically. LikLing Khoo, now known as a world-renowned pastry chef, got her start in the kitchen at an early age, learning to bake alongside her mother. She received her education at the California Culinary Academy, and after graduation, she went on to work as an intern and then full-time employee at the renowned Tartine Bakery in San Francisco. Over the course of more than ten years, LikLing worked at a variety of bakeries, restaurants, and resorts in Vermont and New York State, gaining experience in many aspects of the baking and pastry arts along the way. She was the owner and operator of a bakery in the state of New York called Baker's Dream, where she sold a variety of pastries and sweets. She relocated to the Bay Area in 2014, and two years later, in 2016, she established 43 & Company. LikLing's childhood house in Malaysia had the address number 43, and it was there that she discovered her love for cooking and baking for the very first time. It brings back the happiest memories of the many dinners and gatherings spent with family, during which many recipes for delectable tarts and pies, which were well appreciated by both family and guests, were exchanged.
