Founded in 2012, they have planned over 500 weddings in Central Park. Their experience means flawless coordination of every last detail, so the only thing you’ll need to do on your special day is make perfect memories. Your personal wedding planner will bring the wedding you’ve always dreamed of to life, or work with you from the ground up to build your perfect outdoor ceremony. A Central Park Wedding will guide you through every step of the planning process. Most importantly, they will be there on your wedding day to coordinate with your vendors and guests and to ensure that everything runs smoothly. They offer three Central Park wedding packages to make planning your outdoor wedding ceremony a breeze. Each package includes the services of either Christa or Jennifer who will personally guide you through every stage of the wedding planning process. On your wedding day, your planner will be there on site to coordinate and to ensure that your ceremony and photography session run smoothly. Details of each package are included on the website, and each package is completely customizable. From an intimate microwedding to large, lively affairs, their team of top wedding professionals will create the ceremony of your dreams. Their team can accommodate any and all ceremony preferences, including interfaith, same-sex and bilingual weddings. Christa, the founder, has a background in the hospitality industry but studied science in college. After working as a Project Coordinator in public health, she realized that planning meetings and work-related events were her favorite part of the job. A twist of fate landed her at an event planning firm and after some time there, she branched out and launched A Central Park Wedding in 2012. Her favorite part of wedding planning is meeting couples from all over the world who travel to get married in Central Park. Working in one of the world’s most beautiful urban parks comes in at a close second.

- Do I need a permit to have a wedding in Central Park?
- The permit fee for weddings outside of the Conservatory Garden is included in our packages. Permits are needed if you have 20 or more people in your group. If you have less than 20 people, you are not required to have a permit but we cannot guarantee that your desired location will be available.
- Can I get married in Central Park on a holiday?
- The NYC Parks Department recently updated their policies and will no longer issue wedding permits on major holidays. However if your group is under 20 people you do not need a permit and can still have your wedding in the park.
- How many people can attend my wedding?
- You can have up to 125 guests at your wedding in Central Park, depending on the location you choose. Each location in Central Park has a maximum number of guests permitted.
- Can I have music at my wedding?
- Absolutely! Acoustic music is permitted in Central Park. Many couples choose a violin, guitar or cello to accompany their ceremony. We can also arrange for other musicians such as harpists, bagpipers and vocalists. However, please note that amplified sound is not allowed in the park.
- Can I put up decorations in Central Park?
- Unfortunately Central Park does not allow any decorations. You can choose one of the many beautiful Central Park locations to serve as the breathtaking backdrop to your wedding ceremony.
