Angie's Pantry provides people in the Oak Park-River Forest-Forest Park area with unique and nutritious weekly meal services. Angie's Pantry, which is run entirely by women, creates fresh, healthy meals that are kid-friendly and free of artificial ingredients, preservatives, or trans fats, as well as a selection of soups, cereals, and baked goods. Angie Montroy, the owner and personal chef of Angie's Pantry, knows how to prepare delectable and healthy meals. She's always been a foodie, but her journey to Angie's Pantry began in 2009, when she launched the blog Angie's Pantry, Inc. Armed and Delicious, which features recipes, food anecdotes, cooking and budgeting advice, and more. Angie, a baker at heart, crafts simple recipes using only the freshest and healthiest ingredients. Angie's Pantry, which opened in 2011, caters to private parties and events. Angie also provides a weekly meal delivery service for busy families, preparing delectable meals free of preservatives, artificial ingredients, and trans fats. Angie volunteers with local community organizations in her spare time. She is presently volunteering her skills at food presentations with the Oak Park River Forest Food Pantry's Nutrition Education team. Angie won the Healthy Chef Challenge in 2018, a competition that paired local professional chefs from Maya del Sol, Rustica, and Angie's Pantry against a "mystery ingredient." Angie was proclaimed champion in front of a crowd of over 300 people!
