Botanical Preserves

Botanical Preserves is the brainchild of Sophia. She was raised in an artistic family and has worked in a variety of mediums throughout her life, always enjoying the delicate shapes, movement, and tones of a piece. She took art history and black-and-white film photography classes. She began her floral business in 2018 after a friend inquired, "Have you ever tried working with flowers?" and she was drawn to this new type of design. Sophia surrounds herself with botanicals and their varied elements because she is fascinated by the domain of plants and their healing qualities. Floral design as a living, regenerative art form instilled in her a strong admiration for flowers and their distinct personalities. Their fragility contributes to their elusiveness, and every time she works with floral product, she gets to show off the never-to-be-replicated aspect of her personality. Botanical Preserves perfectly encapsulates each of her works. Sophia is a Bay Area native who now lives in Sacramento, California, but she enjoys traveling and being outside. The natural beauty of her surroundings inspires her, and she spends most of her leisure time exploring her native state. As her employment takes her to new places, she is continually adding to her trip records.
