Brother & Sisters Flower Shop began as a concept in 2016 and grew in popularity as a popup flower shop until it opened its first brick and mortar location at Grand Fare Market this year. Freya Prowe has been an artist and floral designer for over 20 years, focusing her floral business on weddings and events. When the space at the Grand Fare Market became available, she and her husband, Doug Washington, began to imagine a space that would accommodate both of their hobbies. Hers for flowers and art, and his for food and service. They reasoned that by building a lovely, inviting space filled with great home-cooked food, wine, coffee, flowers, and artwork, the neighborhood they adored would be enhanced, and their lives would be enhanced as well. Brother & Sisters Flower Shop is now humming within Grand Fare Market six days a week, with an emphasis on working with only the greatest quality flowers they can find, careful attention to mixing colors and textures, and by listening carefully to clients' needs. There's nothing like flowers to celebrate love! Flowers for weddings, social and corporate occasions, restaurants, and weekly deliveries are among our specialties. Everything we make is tailored to the needs of each particular client, with a focus on concept and texture.
